Easy install, weird clicking noise when it triggers ac
Easy installWorks as expected, like the large screen and that it lights up which is helpful when checking the temp in the middle of the nightOnly issue is it makes a loud click noise anytime it kicks the ac on.

Great 7-day programmable thermostat that doesn’t require C-wire
Setup and programming is fairly straightforward, although you will have to use the manual during initial setup since it uses a numbering system for the menu options such as setting up conventional vs heat pump, gas vs electric, etc. It’s well priced for the functionality, and I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a 7-day programmable, non-wifi thermostat, especially for those who don’t have a C-wire (works with or without a C-wire).Feature highlights:Oddly, even if your system has a C-wire, it still requires 2xAA batteries for powerDoes not require a-C wire to function (I’ve tested and verified on systems with and without C-wires)Easy to mountFan: On / Auto / CirculateModes: Cool / Heat / Auto (auto must be enabled in setup menu)Has 4 settings per day: Wake / Home / Sleep / AwayCan be used in manual mode and/or programmed with 7-day or 5/2HVAC filter replacement reminder with lots of options such as time-running or time-period (ex: 30 days of runtime, or 30 days, etc)

Happy with this thermostat.
My new apartment did not have a programmable thermostat and I needed one so purchased this one. A friend installed it for me. He also programmed it. After my experience in a previous apartment with a thermostat that was difficult to program I was hesitant to try to program this new one. But I have to say it’s very easy to program, works well and it’s backlit so I can see it just fine. I’m very happy with this thermostat and I would recommend it.

Good product
Easy to install, slightly difficult to program, especially to program seven individual days. Overall good robust product.

Good instructions
Installation was straight forward. Good instructions. Product seems to work just fine. I used it on an older 80% furnace with single stage A/C. Much easier to use than the mercury bulb stat it replaced.

Easy installation, accuate operation, battery powered t-stat
Easy install that is operating central a/c. Of note: 1. Full battery (2AA) operation- no C wire; 2. Does not need R-Rc jumper; 3. Push-in wire connectors-no micro screwdriver needed.I found the ambient thermometer read accuate to +- 1 degree, fine unless you are growing bacteria cultures…Easy to set up parameters and setback times, plus a ‘Boomer Approved’ display that was easy to read even when it was not backlit…ps. Love the button activation as opposed to touch screen. Switchable, mild AI will ‘kentucky windage’ your setback setting starting the system before the setpoint, so your temperature will be there at your set time. Be careful when mating body with base as the connecting pins look delicate.

Not worth it if you have a simple thermostat already installed
When we installed the thermostat, it shut off our air conditioner completely. It would not run the ac but would run the heat. The look of it was great. The installation was kind of rough with trying to match the wires that were set up a different way. One we figured out where the wires went it was pretty simple. Not worth the money if you have a basic thermostat. Either stick with the basic ones or go on step higher. Setting up the thermostat was a pain once it was all installed and turned on.
