Quiet and Effective, Pet Friendly!
This tool makes shaping and shortening my dogâs nails so much better for both of us. He absolutely freaked out when I was using the traditional nail clippers. My dog also has dew claws ln his front paws, which need to be regularly cut. This made it an easy, less stressful task. Since my dog likes fruit, I put some blueberries in a cup and initially gave him a blueberry about every minute or two so that he would associate the new tool with something yummy. Today I was brave, and he was brave enough for me to do all four paws, including the dew paws. Life for both of us is so much better.

This little thing grinds my dogâs nails quickly and quietly with very little vibration. What for years has been a terrifying experience for my dog is now just another day. No more trips to a groomer or vet for nail trims. No more fear, anxiety or meds for my dog for nail trims. Charge holds for multiple uses. Easy to hold in your hand and manipulate speed and off switch. This has totally revolutionized nail trimming for us. She even took a nap during one of our sessions. Do be careful and observant when using. If you are used to your animal pulling away and freaking out, the lack of response can mean they do not give you a warning if you are getting near the quick (this can definitely be an issue with animals with black nails). This is an amazing tool!

Great Alternative to Standard Nail trimmers
I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks. I have two medium-sized dogs, and I get nervous trimming their nails because they will jerk their feet. I don’t want to cut them, so I let them stay a little longer. This grinder is a much safer solution because it won’t hurt them if they jerk around.I’ve been using the grinder for a few weeks, and they don’t seem bothered by it. I was able to grind their nails to a much shorter length than I could do with the standard trimmer. To get them used to it, I was only doing it for a few short minutes each time. They don’t run when I pull it out (they did with the nail clippers). I’m also able to grind the edges to keep them from scratching me or the furniture.It’s not loud or obnoxious, and my dogs are not afraid of it, although they have only a short window of tolerance for me to mess with their feet before they get figity.It grinds the nails quickly and doesn’t catch or snag as it grinds, so there is no discomfort.All in all, I recommend this! Easy to use and not stressful on my dogs.

Strong and quiet!
I have one Aussie who lets me do anything to her including nail clippings, and one who does not. This works SO well on him and it is very quiet but strong and gets them filed down quick. Super easy, and the price makes it even better.

WARNING** Long-haired owners tie back hair/loose articles before use. DONT USE ON LONG HAIRED PETS.
I gave this product three stars. The reason being is because the product does file pets nails relatively less stressfully, as when a dog nail clippers are in use- if done safely and properly. The product does seem to be of relatively good quality/materials.That being said, my concern lies in the fact that there are virtually zero safety precautions for material or hair entanglement regarding the presence of any automatic shut off when increased resistance is met. Most other products with rotating components (I.e. handheld fans, vacuum cleaners) can detect if a snag is detected at which point the motor stops spinning and shuts off until the device is cleared of snags and restarted.In this situation, a single strand of my hair came in contact with rotating end of the dog nail grinder, and it started twisting until an entire chunk of my hair became fully entangled, which happened over the course of approximately 1-2 seconds.The device continued spinning and spinning and I could not get the sliding on/off switch to slide off because the device continue to spin in my hand. The device was very hot, almost smoking, because of the amount of hair entangling, but it did not turn off.This had me greatly concerned, not just for myself, but for my dog.Because my dog is a long-haired mixed breed (Bernedoodle, or Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog mix), her hair could easily become stuck in the twisting mechanism. Especially because she is also a large breed, meaning we cannot use the included plastic nail guard due to the size and shape of her nails. At which point, this would be much a more painful and traumatizing experience than just using a regular nail clipper, and I do not want to traumatize her⦠or myself.I feel like if the rotary mechanism senses a snag or a tangle in the rotating bit, it should have a safety feature that automatically shuts it off so that people and/or their pets do not have hair (or other loose articles) incidentally damaged, burned, ripped out, or removed.The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1 is because I understand that this issue is partially my fault and in the future, I would tie my hair back fully if I were to use it again. Also itâs not an entirely useless product, but can only be safely used (in my opinion) on smaller, shorter haired breeds.With that being said, I am glad this happened to me rather than my pet because I was able to easily cut the affected strands of my hair that were burned and frayed off and am physically unharmed, although my hair does look very strange now since this large strand was in the very front. Regardless, I take some responsibility for the incident, however, I donât want my situation to happen to any long haired pets in the future and hope the company makes some safety adjustments to the product.One thing that could significantly improve safety would be to include an overall larger grinding bit that also includes a larger plastic safety guard with a bigger opening for large breed dogs, so that their nails can be filed safely with decreased risk for tangling, ripping, tugging, etc.As mentioned, I was not able to use the provided guard that comes with the product because my dogs nails are simply too wide/thick to keep the guard on. If you have a small pet with thinner nails, the guard would likely better protect you/your pet or reduce the risk of entanglement by probably 90%.In conclusion, I will likely not use this on my long haired dogs, but I would be willing to try the product again on my short haired, smaller dog (Boston terrier) because the risk for entanglement is minimal to none (for the pet), and I can use the file guard that is included with the product. Of course, my hair will be tied back next timeâ¦I hope this helps someone make a more informed decision on purchasing this product.

Game changer right here!
This is a game changer. The whole time I have been stressing about my Chihuahuaâs claws because she gets so stressed whenever I try to trim them, clip them, grind them, whatever. She cries and squeals, and whimpers and makes as much noise as she can. UNTIL NOW! This nail grinder is so quiet she almost falls asleep in my lap and doesnât even flinch when I grind her nails until now with the Casfuy! The diamond drum bit does an excellent job of grinding her nails down as opposed to the replaceable files I used to use. The best part is the super low noise and vibration – thatâs what stressed her out the most and scared her. Not anymore. So now I donât stress about it at all. I wish I had this from the very start instead of scaring my baby every time I needed to take care of her! This is a must for any dog owner – there are 3 size ports for claw sizes too. I canât believe how quiet yet powerful this little piece is!

I was using clippers on my old dog’s claws because he can’t walk much anymore. The clippers were sharp but still he hated them and flinched every time. So I looked up about one of these grinders. I have to say, it’s impressive. A humming sound, and he’s half deaf so it didn’t alarm him. It is powerful, so when using, take care to be very gentle and light strokes for each claw. You have to keep all hairs away or they will be yanked or pulled along with the turning device causing pain. Take care with them, hold the nail and I used my own hands as a guard so I knew if I was getting too near the skin of his paws it would hit me first not him. It would tear the skin off you like heavy sandpaper, wear gloves and protect the dog’s inner core of the nail, the eye. Looks like the end of a pencil that is to be avoided. Blood goes through the nail to keep it alive so as I said before, tiny, very tiny strokes at a time and go around the edges at an angle, not dead centre. I’m not trained in this, just writing from my own experience. I watched videos on safety and they were helpful, so would advise seriously to do this, to read up on it and watch tutorials. Worth the price for what you get, and you can charge it through USB.
