Another instance of Amazon being the better choice
The thermostat in my Dodge Dakota lasted 23 years, 127000 miles. I changed it when my upper radiator hose fell apart. I don’t know, but suspect the thrermostat failed to open and pressure blew the hose (which was also 23 years old…amazing).Anyway, I bought a thermostat from NAPA and another from OReilly’s , one was $26 and the other $28. Then I ordered this one from Amazon $7.When it arrived , I had all three to compare. They were identical, even though the boxes were all different (branding).The thermostat’s not only looked the same, they were stamped with the manufacturers name.I didn’t give 5 stars because I don’t know about long term efficacy, but the “fit” was perfect, the price annd speedy delivery, amazing.

This thermostat comes with great sealing gasket around it. Bleeder goes to top. My old one wouldn’t heat very well ,this one raised the engine temperature to normal. I got heat now …
