Impressive Low Cost Camera
After installing the Golspark Indoor Security Camera, I am quite impressed (see unboxing. photos) with this camera, especially considering its low cost. Installation didnât take five minutes and was very easy to set up do after downloading the VicoHome smartphone application and is pretty impressive, though obviously still in development. The help area is not linked within the app, however, an extensive help section exists on the VicoHome web site. (There is no reference to the web site in the instructions or in the application.) Night vision has a very clear image with low light sensitivity and the panning controls (left to right as well as up and down) work very well with very little lag time. A firmware update was installed to the camera without any problem, though it took about five minutes.This camera (in 2K mode) has excellent resolution and is very quiet when panning side to side or up and down. Without the cloud option, It does an excellent job of following and notifying of any movement through the room in left to right pans, pets included if panned down. The camera has a battery if you need to install it in a an area without electricity. The two-way audio function works well as does the alarm, which is triggered via the application. Adding anMy main cristicisms of this camera are:1. There is no web site to view or manage your cameras. You must use you smartphone or pad to manage and see the Golspark camera. However, if you have a Apple computer, you can use the VicoHome iOS app. PC/Windows apps and a web client are planned to be released in the future.2. There is no mention of the location of the SD card or any instructions considering it. To locate the slot for the SD card, pan the camera manually up as far as it can go and then quickly shut it off). (The camera can take up to a 128 gb SD card.)3. There is no explanation of the cloud system or mention of it or its costs. The VicoHome Awareness program upgrade is required to add the abilities of intelligent notification and activity zones to the camera. See photos with this review for the costs at different rates for monthly or annual; but the 60-day cloud option shows both âAnnualâ and a â12 Monthsâ option, which is likely an error.4. The âHelpâ section is non-existent in the application but is available on the VicoHome web site.5. The USB cord provided for the camera is entirely too short, only about three feet long; apparently provided mostly to charge the battery, not to continuously provide power to the cameraâwhich I prefer.Overall, this is an excellent camera needing a few things which VicoHome is apparently working on changing or adding. I will do an update to this review in a few months if an outdoor camera becomes available, which will make it the perfect candidate to replace my current security camera system.

Great Camera for an Amazing Price!
This is a great little camera for a great price I would recommend to anyone wanting an indoor camera. Comes with mounting hardware, C-type charging cable, charging base and instructions. I have it mounted in a ceiling in the corner of a room and it was easy to mount the base (the camera turns and locks into the base and is easy to take down, if necessary). It has almost complete 360 range! Crisp enough night vision. You will need to set up at least a free online VicoHome account after installing the app on your smartphone. There are good settings options in the app (please note that all times are reflected in 24-hour format). The camera can differentiate between pets and people. You can manually control the panning of the camera with the app or it has a motion control setting so it can detect and track movement automatically. Amused that it can emit a siren upon detecting movement, which can be fun to randomly switch on in the app without warning the kids first. Can be put into sleep mode with the app when I don’t want it on. You can also set a sleep schedule for regular times when you don’t want it recording. The schedule is customizable for any or all days of the week you choose and you can make multiple schedules to use different time periods for different days. One thing that would be good to work on for future models is the ability to record motion events direct to the SD card, rather than only storing them on the cloud account. You CAN get continuous recording on the SD card but it doesnât mark where the motion events are within that recording. The controls to access and scroll through the SD card-recorded footage take a little time to familiarize yourself with. Fortunately there is a website listed on the box with frequently asked questions. I found this quite helpful. I figured out that the magnifier + icon expands that hour out into minutes so you can pick 3:10 pm (or 15:10) rather than just seeing 15:00 in the header. Also, while you cannot move motion events to the SD card, you should be able to download them to your smartphone through the app. I found I could click on the share option and then I could share it with someone else or share it to my file management app so that it saved to the file I wanted. Then I could delete it from the cloud. Lots going for this little camera and neat figuring out all the features. Again, the website listed should be helpful for those needing more support.

This camera is fantastic it displays a sharp image quality, easy setup, and reliable motion alerts. Itâs durable and perfect for peace of mind. I really like how you can rotate it around using the mobile app as well as the microphone feature witch allows me to speak through the camera. Highly recommended!

This Golspark security camera is awesome! The picture quality is super clear, so I can finally see what my dog is up to when I’m not home (spoiler alert: it’s usually chewing on something he shouldn’t be). The camera can also move around to show me the whole room, which is pretty cool.I also love that I get alerts on my phone whenever the camera senses motion. No more wondering if that weird noise I heard downstairs was just a raccoon or something more sinister. Plus, I can talk through the camera, which is both fun (telling my dog to get off the couch) and handy (scaring away any unexpected visitors).Setting it up was a breeze, and the app is easy to use. Plus, it can store videos on either the cloud or an SD card, so I can always check in on what’s happening at home. This camera is totally worth the money – it gives me peace of mind and keeps my furry friend in check. Definitely recommend!

WORST CAMERA EVER!
Iâve hated this camera from day one. I got this as a replacement for a much better brand I had, which stopped working a little over a year & a half. This thing? GARBAGE! Total garbage. You CANNOT RELY ON THE AUDIO AT ALL with this thing and it only records 3 second clips whenever it feels like it HEY HEY HEY! GOODBYE to this POS. Iâm now sold on the previous brand 100% what a disappointing waste of money. No thanks

I had never used QR code before so I had to load QR reader onto my phone. The download and the install of the application was quite easy even for an old guy like me. The monitor works great and as described. I have a friend who has a dog that is always getting into things so the monitor would work great for looking at the dog when it is out of sight and into trouble. I have a Cuban sim card in my phone and suspected monitor would not work with it but it did even though I am in Canada. Good monitor.

Handy bit of extra technology to have at home. Most of us have a video doorbell for outside but isn’t it a more useful idea to see inside your home when you’re not there.I don’t have pets but can see the utility of having this if I did. One of my co workers uses it for that.I can check on the kids and talk to them if they get home before I do, remind them to start their homework and now I can see if they actually are!It’s a video call that the kids can’t hang up on me or choose not to show me something.Also I’ve positioned it so I can see the stove. No more wondering if I turned off the burner. Now I can prove it to myself.Quality images, reasonably easy to set up.Good buy!
