The Leviton Decora 15 amp tamper-resistant power outlet meets the 2008 NEC mandate for residential housing receptacles. Its shutter mechanism blocks foreign objects such as hairpins and keys from the contacts. Tr symbol on residential receptacles assures they meet the 2008 NEC requirement. Features. Shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to the contacts unless a two-prong plug is inserted helping ensure hairpins keys etc. Will be locked out. Leviton devices are top notch
Okay, they are basic electrical wall receptacles, that do what they’re supposed to do. They are well made and work well, however, every electrician I know only uses Leviton. I love their Decora Smart Switch, Wi-Fi 2nd Gen! These things install easily, connect effortlessly, and always stray connected. Just about the only Wi-Fi device I have found that does that.
