Great Quality and Affordable
The video quality, during the day and in night mode is better than I expected. The camera has a nice wide angle, and is easy to set up. The call and audio features were a plus, and I am currently using it without cloud or micro storage. I love the motion detection notifications, they work really well, and there is an option to override the notifications when you’re at home. Love it!

Nice, small cameras with good viewing area but colors aren’t as bright as I see them New firmware update this morning fixed the different FPS issue above and both now have 2K/30fps. 5 stars.I got these to replace an old Amcrest 1080p and Foscam 720p dome cameras.Comparing the C110 to the Amcrest I can tell the C110 doesn’t display colors as well when looking outside. The Amcrest shows bright green grass (real color) where the C110 shows a dull and darker green (not what it really looks like). The C110 is better than the Foscam. Both the Foscam and Amcrest cameras allowed me to set the port the device used making it easy to view in a browser, IP Camera Viewer (PC) and Tiny Cam Pro (Android). These C110 cameras use RTSP & ONVIF (ports 554 & 2020) and you cannot change the ports the camera uses.IP Camera Viewer (by Deskshare) can connect to both cameras and display video on Windows 10/11 using ONVIF port 2020 in the config page if the PClaptop is on the same network. It was auto discovered and easy to configure.Tiny Cam Pro is great because it allows you to specify a custom RTSP and ONVIF port, therefore, you can port forward those four ports via your router (one RTSP and ONVIF per camera) and you can use the Android app to view the cameras while away from home, as well as at home. Tina Cam Pro starts up and shows the cameras faster than the TAPO app so I choose to use that app unless I need something specific from the TAPO app. I do like the TAPO app and the playback via SD card, it’s fast and east to scroll to specific times.Overall these cameras are smaller and higher resolution but fail to display proper coloration in my situation but they meet my needs and will continue to use them. I doubt I will need to worry about the 30fps/25fps difference but that points to some problem and I think another review talked about a similar fps issue.
I bought two white 2k C110 cameras in the same order, both are hardware v2.0. After I received them I got them added to the TAPO app and did two firmware upgrades on each camera and both are firmware v1.4.6. Comparing settings one is 2K/30fps and one is 2K/25fps, 30 fps is not listed (-1 star for inconsistencies among exact same devices).

The TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera: A Surprisingly Excellent Choice
As someone who has delved into the world of home security cameras, purchasing and testing models from Meross, Ubiquiti, Nest, Ring, and others, I’ve encountered my fair share of unique challenges with each brand. I’ve even invested over $200 on some Ubiquiti cameras, all in the pursuit of finding the perfect balance of functionality, ease of use, and affordability. However, it wasn’t until I came across the TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera that I felt I had found a device that stood out in the crowded market, especially for a very specific need: ensuring the safety and monitoring of my in-laws who have recently moved into an assisted living community. The aspect of this camera that immediately caught my attention was its affordability combined with its robust feature set, something I had begun to think was impossible to find. Unlike other systems that nickel and dime you for every additional feature, the TP-Link Tapo offers a comprehensive package without the need for a subscription service. This was particularly appealing as it enabled me to keep an eye on my in-laws’ well-being without incurring ongoing costs.Installation and setup were astonishingly straightforward. I opted for a 256GB SD card, which was more than adequate for our needs and was incredibly easy to install and configure. This ease of setup is not something I can say for all the cameras I’ve tested in the past, where sometimes the setup process seemed almost deliberately complicated. The video quality is another point where the Tapo 2K Indoor Camera shines. It delivers crisp, clear images that make it easy to see what’s happening, even from a distance. But perhaps the feature that sets it apart the most is the ability to playback footage remotely. This has given me peace of mind, knowing that I can easily check in on my in-laws at any time, from anywhere.Price-wise, the Tapo 2K is unbeatable. Considering the high costs of some competitors’ cameras that still require additional outlays for full functionality, the value proposition of the Tapo 2K is clear. It’s an affordable, effective solution for anyone looking to secure their home or, in my case, keep a watchful eye on loved ones in a care setting. In conclusion, the TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera has proven to be a little gem in a market saturated with overpriced and overcomplicated alternatives. Its combination of ease of use, excellent video quality, remote playback capability, and affordability make it a standout option. It’s a purchase I’ve been thoroughly pleased with and would recommend to anyone in a similar situation or anyone looking for a reliable home security camera without unnecessary frills or expenses.

Good Value, Works Well Through Window with Manual Adjustment
This 4-pack of Tapo C110 cameras offers good value for the price. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the video quality is decent for general monitoring. However, donât expect to read license plates or recognize faces clearly from a distance of ~33 feet.We placed one camera indoors, pointing out a window. If you do the same, make sure to manually switch it to Day Mode â otherwise, it defaults to Automatic Mode, which switches to Night Mode in low light, and the infrared reflection off the glass will make the image unusable. This setting was a bit tricky to find â itâs on the live video page (a small icon in the center).Overall, solid for indoor use and basic monitoring.

Great, inexpensive cameras
These things are great! Easy to pair (keep them on 2.4ghz though), picture quality is great. I have them scattered around my house to spy on my cats when I’m not home. I also have some in my elderly relatives home to be able to check if they are alright if they don’t answer their phone. They have a privacy mode and the app is great – you can group cameras together so you can scroll through them all without having to go back to the Home Screen.

Purchased single units previously all had Australian plugs, the price was quoted in AUD for this 4 pack so i made the assumption that Aussie plugs were fitted, Cameras are great but the plug issue is a bit of an inconvenience

Me encanto, es totalmente funcional, buena calidad de imagen, fácil de configurar, tiene micrófono, alerta de movimiento, (graba solo si colocas la tarjeta SD) yo la utilizo sólo para monitorear a mi mascota pero funciona super bien.

I purchased this 4-pack to monitor the house before we went on vacation, and they worked flawlessly. Each camera came with an individual 30-day trial of their cloud storage, which automatically saves any motion detected footage. Their cloud plan doesnât save continuous recording, so I bought 512GB micro SD cards instead. I played around with the different resolutions and frame rates offered; I ultimately just went for the full capacity of 2K at 30FPS. For two weeks of continuous recording, it racked up about 200GB on each camera respectively. The 512GB was more than enough, but glad I had it just in case. The app is also ridiculously easy to navigate. Every setting is clearly labeled and making changes was easy.Overall, I am extremely pleased with these cameras and I will likely buy another set to be able to monitor more of my house for a security set-up.
