Great buy for parents and dog owners
Purchased multiple over the years for dogs and now a toddler. Grandparents seem to struggle with it but so do the dogs and kid. Looks nice with our interior. Itâs easy to operate even with toddler in my arms.

Great Space-Saving Gate, Just a Few Minor Flaws
I really like this retractable baby gate! Itâs a great solution for tight spaces where a traditional swinging gate wouldnât work. The retractable design is sleek, and itâs easy to open and close with one hand once you get the hang of it. It keeps little ones and even small pets safely contained without being bulky or in the way.The reason Iâm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the locking mechanism can be a little tricky at first, and you need to make sure itâs latched securely each time. Also, installation instructions could be clearer. But overall, itâs a very practical and attractive gate that gets the job done!

Love this gate!
I was looking for a gate for my kitchen doorway that wouldn’t be in the way like big wooden ones are. This is perfect for that! It is mesh so it’s not super sturdy for big dogs or older kids who are determined to get through it, but for what I need it’s awesome. I love that it winds itself up so it’s never in the way. I can also hold my baby with one arm and latch the gate with the other. It might take a few seconds to get the gate on both hooks with one hand but it’s no big deal.One thing about this gate is that you do have to use the lock function once it is latched or kids will definitely be able to crawl under. I added photos to my review to show unlocked vs locked how far up you can pull it. With it locked I don’t think my 6 month old would even fit under it. The lock is a button that you push down and slide so it is very easy to work with one hand as well.Overall if you just need something to deter babies and toddlers from a room and you need a gate that is completely out of the way, this is a good purchase.I would absolutely NOT buy this for the top of stairs. Definitely not sturdy enough for that.

Such an easy gate to install and use!
We were able to install in less than 10 minutes. We love that it retracts so when we donât need it up itâs out of our way. The locking mechanism makes the gate feel safe and secure.

Difficult to install and the screws don’t work for some posts/openings
I decided on a retractable gate because so many of the openings in our house are asymmetrical or wide so a tension gate is impossible for these areas. And momcozy was a brand I trusted but after this I would not recommend this gate. Luckily I wasn’t planning on using this as a SAFETY gate, just as a deterrent to keep baby within view and out of the kitchen when the oven is hot. The screws were too long for some spots where I hit metal on the other side and I had to look for other screws that would do the job. Also the design of the hooks is awful. You have to hold the screwdriver at an angle making the bottom hook (which goes into the molding, despite the misleading description) nearly IMPOSSIBLE to screw in. So I couldn’t get it to be as sturdy as I’d like. If I hadn’t already unboxed and started making holes in the walls I would have returned it and if I needed something truly sturdy for safety I would return it regardless of the holes. But since it’s mostly just used as a deterrent while I’m nearby anyway we just dealt with it. Pros are that it locks and fits a wider space than a metal gate and it can fit well in diagonal spaces while leaving enough room to walk through with the laundry basket when it’s open, unlike a metal gate. It also deters my pets but only because they’re older and tamer than they used to be. My dog probably could have easily barrelled through this in her puppy days. So if you’re looking for a deterrent the retractable gates are fine but I would NOT RECOMMEND AS A SAFETY GATE. Also they need to redesign the hooks for easier installation. That part was a nightmare. If they don’t fix that, I wouldn’t really recommend this at all. Maybe other brands are more practical to install.

Waste of money.
Waste of money!We ordered 2 and both have broke! One my son (10months old) pushed on and it broke the plastic so it doesnât stay secured anymore. Not to mention he can crawl under it easily even before the plastic piece broke. The other just kind of exploded. We woke up to it completely off the wall and the spring out of it. Itâs like it just burst.Worthless.. and of course it happens past the return window ð

Perfect small dog gate
This was so easy to install and is so easy to use. It locks well, moves into place easily and is super sturdy. The fact that this comes with 2 was perfect. Helps me keep my small dogs in the office with me while Iâm working & keeps them out of the places I donât want them to be. Youâre also able to interchange the gate to another opening if needed. It comes with 2 gates and 4 set ups. We move it from one room to another when needed. Love that it is out of the way when itâs open as well and blends in perfectly. We love this!!
