The Amazon listing says, “Use Wet/Dry”. The box package it comes in says on the back, “For fast, gentle hair removal wet or dry”. But the “How to use” section of the Operating Instructions says: “Dry shaving is recommended. If the hair is wet, it may be difficult to shave or trim to uniform a length as the hair sticks to the skin or tangles together.” This certainly suggests the Amazon listing and the box package claims are disingenuous, at best. The reality appears to be: “Wet shaving is possible, but don’t expect good results.” Therefore, only dry shaving was tested.The package includes an electric motor base (uses 1 AA battery) and two heads, one trimmer and one foil shaver. Before using the shaver, the instructions say to use the trimmer with attachment to reduce hair length to a maximum of 1.5 mm in length. Then use the shaver to get a close shave. The instructions say, in the “On your bikini area” section, when using the trimmer and shaver, “To get a better shave, stretch the skin with your free hand, apply the head or attachment to the skin firmly and move the appliance gently and slowly.” However, there is also a separate insert in the box with instructions entitled “How to get a close shave on your bikini line”, in which stretching the skin with your free hand becomes a requirement, not an option. Our testing reveals that, to prevent injury, keeping the skin as taut as possible is essential to reducing the possibility of injury. On soft loose skin, the foil shaver is very likely to cut the skin, possibly causing it to bleed a bit.In the “Safety precautions” section of the Operating Instructions, in a sub-section entitled “Important information”, it states: “Store the appliance in a place with low humidity after use. Leaving the appliance in a bathroom or similar area may cause a malfunction due to condensation or rust.” Apparently, one or more components are made of steel (capable of rusting), but not made of stainless steel, even though this product is advertised to be usable when the hair and skin are wet. This is a big negative, since shaving in the bathroom and storing the shaver in the bathroom are commonplace.The shaver requires one AA battery. The instructions say the battery should last about one month if the shaver is used twice a week for 5 minutes each time at room temperature.In the end, the shaving experience was mixed. Pulling skin taut in some areas proved more difficult than other areas. There were two spots which got nicked by the foil shaver. Over time, the skill level would likely improve. The shaving session lasted nearly 15 minutes, probably due, in part, to inexperience. Some areas were smooth, but some still had some stubble.In the end, there are two big negatives:(1) Not really being a shaver that can be reliably used when wet;(2) Not being able to store the shaver in the bathroom.BTW, does not being able to store the shaver in a humid environment rule out anyone being able to use the shaver who happens to live in humid Florida, anywhere along the humid Gulf coast, in the summers in the humid Northeast, and so on?

Takes some times to get used to it but works great
This is the first time I’ve ever owned a bikini trimmer so it was a bit awkward for me to use. The instructions are a bit confusing especially the heads part.Using it was a bit awkward like I said. The trimming guard made it easier to trim however when I used the shaving head (basically removing the guard) I was afraid it’d nick my skin so I didn’t put too much pressure on the area. It turned out to be something like a taper haircut (if you know what I mean!).Despite me being scared, the blade actually is sharp because I didn’t put too much pressure on it but it still got rid of most hair.I like that it’s somewhat waterproof (only the head area I guess) so I can clean it under running water. It comes with a tiny brush to clean as well.

I have an older Panasonic Wet/Dry shaver that is exceptionally effective but requires replacement blades. I decided to get this model, anticipating it would offer an improvement over an earlier version. Unfortunately, this model proved incapable of effectively removing any hair from my body. Consequently, I returned the shaver and do not recommend its purchase.

I was excited to try this battery-operated trimmer from Panasonic, but must say I was not that happy with it. You have to practice with the shaver to get the angle and grip correct, but even so, it leaves patches you have to go back over, plus it was not that comfortable to use. The trimmer was slightly better, but I expected more from this brand name. On the plus side, the battery was easy to install, the parts were simple to attach and the trimmer was easy to turn on and off. I would not use it in water, but the waterproof feature makes it easy to rinse the trimmer off. Does not seem like it will last since it’s mostly plastic parts, unlike most men’s shavers. Overall, the shaver functions at a mid level.

Easy and fast bikini trimmer for a painless shave on sensitive skin, & no bumps!
This hair trimmer/electric razor for women is easy to use, gentle on delicate skin, and the perfect size for small areas. I have been alternating between using my straight razor in the shower (which can lead to cuts or ingrown hairs) and using my husbandâs body hair trimmer (which is too large to remove hair from certain small crevices). This ladyâs hair trimmer is smaller, lighter, quieter, and easier to use. Plus, you can get a closer, better shave (that will last longer) because you can use the 2 different shaving heads to quickly remove hair without the risk of cutting yourself or causing in-grown hairs/bumps.The trimmer has 2 main shaving heads that both come with plastic covers and twist on (until it click) or twist off. The 1st is a narrow, single line attachment to trim hair in a specific location or to a specific shape. This one works best if you pull the skin tight so you can remove the hair without pinching any skin. The second head is larger with rounded sides for the delicate and uneven skin directly between legs. This shaving head is smoother and much more gentle on this delicate skin than the 1st one. Both of these shaving heads come with attachable, plastic combs to help evenly trim hair in places where you do not want to completely remove the hair. There is also a small brush to help clean out any excess hair from the trimmer. I tried out both shaving heads last night and painlessly finished the entire area while my husband was in the shower. It was quick and easy. Plus, I do not have any bumps today. This worked much better and faster than using my husbandâs body trimmer.The trimmer is battery powered, so you need to buy and install 1 AA battery in the base. The instructions have diagrams to show how to use it, place the battery correctly, and suggests which heads are better for which areas.One key point mentioned in the instructions is to only use this trimmer on your bikini area and to not share it with others. This is good advice in order to prevent spreading germs that could cause infections.
