Why Doesn’t My Camping Solar Panel Reach Its Rated 100W?
As you know the portable solar panels are affected by many factors such as the light intensity andangle at which it’s placed on the ground. 100W is tested in an ideal laboratory. However, the intensity of the light constantly changes.
Is this foldable solar panel waterproof? Can these folding solar panel be permanently installed outside?
Yes, it’s waterproof, but only for temporary or emergency use. Not designed for permanent installation or prolonged exposure to the outdoors, do not leave it out at night or in bad weather.
What should I do if the foldable solar charger cannot charge my device?
1. Cloudy weather and unstable sunlight may cause current fluctuations and hinder charging. Please position solar panel charger in full sun or wait until the weather clears.
2. Check the device to ensure that it supports the solar panels charging.
Can I connect the 100w solar panels portable to battery for charging directly without controller?
Most power stations can do this. Because most of them have built-in MPPT,but the battery, without the voltage regulation provided by the controller your chance of cooking the battery by overcharging is possible.

Provides peace of electrical means on trips
Folds up easy with Velcro straps to firmly close up and has a handle. Does take a good 7 hours time to charge my charger in the sun but once it does the charger holds a charge for 7 hours. Will continuously charge on the dashboard of car thru window which is convenient if you donât want to use the cord it comes with to charge via car battery while traveling. Not recommended to charge via car if not operating the car it will drain the car battery but I have a 120 outlet in my car so I can use that too if necessary. Not bulky and easily stored away in the car.

Good for emergency phone charging
I got this, because it sounded like it would be compatible with my portable power box. I bought the box over a year ago, but hadn’t gotten around to buying solar panels for it, because the ones that were supposed to come with it cost more than I could afford, and while I was saving up for them, they went up in price. This was a lot cheaper, so, even though it was visibly smaller, I figured I would just have to let it sit outside a little bit longer than the expensive panels, and it had all of these fancy adaptors, so I assumed that it would work. Unfortunately, none of the adaptors were compatible with my box. HOWEVER, it has a USB port, and works really good at charging a cell phone, as long as you have it in a good, sunny spot, and, since I have dealt with a vehicle that likes to overheat or blow a tire on hot days, leaving me stranded with a dying phone, I now carry this with me in said vehicle, for emergencies! So, it’s great for that.

Great product; needed it to charge my Jackery to power CPAP.
Can take a while to charge if cloudy but great product as I think this is just the nature of solar technology. Super compact, portable, practical & sturdy.

Works just as intended!
Works great! Paired it with a Powerfort LFP-PF200 that I also got from Amazon. Plugged it in when it was completely dead and it started charging immediately. Canât beat a solar setup for under $100.

Won’t quite make 60 watts of power.
In full Florida sun, tiled directly south at high noon, these panels won’t quite supply 60 watts. If you are hoping to get 60 watts of power in lesser conditions, go for 100 watt panels instead. The best output that I could achieve was about 45 watts in the above conditions. The video shared below is NOT in those ideal conditions, but facing east under a screened inpool enclosure. The panels are supplying about 22 watts.

The backing on the solar panels is a bit thicker than other solar panels but it will prevent cracking and damage which is great. It actually outputs over 30W which is incredible because most other sellers would list this as 60W in that case for portable foldable solar panels. The output is the biggest downfall of this solar panel. It only has one usb output and its 5v max which mean youâre getting a total of 10w out of the possible 30w.Huge waste .I got this becuase I have a Drok dual usb output buck boost converter which essentially adds more USB outputs to the solar panel but at a cost.I already had the converter so Iâm not sure how it would add to your total cost of the system ~$20usdBut would allow you to have 2 12v or 5v USB outputs that you could use at 12v 1.5A on two portable batteries or you could use the DC wire to plug into a Jackery battery, which is the method that I would recommend if it is applicable to you.
