Good lag screws, good price
I used these for installing shelf brackets onto 2×4 studs in my barn. Compared to using the old style lag bolts, these screws don’t require pilot holes so they install easily.Traditional lag bolts usually require predrilling otherwise you split the wood or break the bolt or chew up the threads in the wood. I have all three of those things happen. And, when you try to remove an old lag bolt, the sap in those old 2×4’s has hardened and is holding the lag bolt so tight that you round over the head of the bolt trying to remove it.These lag screws seem to fair much better in all respects.

I’ve been using these screws in various lengths for a while now. I use them for constructing barns fences and othe construction on our farm and ranch. They hold tight and the large heads will not pull through.
