Rake/Hoe DESIGN is Exceptional, but Metal is Flimsy; Handle Sections Come Unscrewed
I’d give over five stars for the DESIGN of the rake/hoe end, but the metal is too flimsy and doesn’t stand up to its job. After a day of use, several of the tines were bent and twisted from catching on roots. Hard to avoid when performing “cultivator” and “weed puller” tasks as listed in the description. The handle also needs improvement. It comes in multiple sections which must be screwed together. The first hour I used the hoe, I had to tighten the various handle sections every 10 minutes or so. The joint closest to the working end came loose the most frequently, and all sections were definitely screwed together tightly before I started. Because I love the effectiveness of the tool itself, I plan to look for a solution to the ever loosening handle problem — maybe a threadlocker product or sheet metal screws to secure the pieces. Will just have to straighten the twisted tines and hope they don’t break.

Me esperaba un rastrillo normal y corriente y me he encontrado con que es el padre de todos los rastrillos. Las púas son gruesas y duras en una simple chapa como cabrÃa esperar, un mango metálico largo compuesto de varios tramos que alcanza hasta los dos metros aproximadamente, puedes reducirlo quitando algunos de sus tramos. En su totalidad es duro y robusto una magnÃfica compra.

Shipped in a box with the handle sections and the rake apart, it has to be assembled which is done very easily and quickly. The teeth on the rake all have protective sleeves which is a good thing, as they are sharp and protects both the teeth and the box during shipping.The handle is adjustable by simply choosing how many handle sections you attach, which is a nice feature. As others have mentioned, there is a slight issue with the screw-in method of how the handles attach, as they tend to loosen during usage of the tool. This was easily fixed by using some Loctite though, so it’s not coming apart anymore.Now, as for the rake side of things, unfortunately we don’t have the best soil here in our garden as there’s some clay and quite sone stones in it in which the roots can get really stuck, which the rake didn’t really like too much as the material is a bit too thin, resulting in it bending. However, for the bits of our garden that has better soil, it did a great job without any issues, so I think that it would do a lot better in decent quality soil without any issues.Overall I think it is a decent product, but because of the handles loosening themselves and the teeth being slightly too thin for our soil, I have to knock off 1 star.
