Knowing what kind of engine power that you need
This lawnmower was mostly put together. You just sort of have to put a few things here and there, but no big deal. This one has the power you need to cut the thicker grass. Just remember, I hire cc rating is generally a more powerful reading and can cut through thicker and to her grass. For example, an engine with a 130 cc engine is less powerful than an engine with a 165 cc engine. If you do not know this, you may be disappointed in any kind of lawnmower that you pick up and do not understand this concept. Anything rated over 160 cc I would recommend getting. This lawnmower is pretty tough. It has the power and it cuts very well. The value for the money was not too bad and it was a pretty good quality. The self-propelled feature is very strong so you wonât be disappointed in that either.

Waste of Money
Don’t waste your money. My front and back yards total less than 1/2 acre. Mowed the front fine. Went back the next week to get the back and the drive belt broke. Had it repaired under warranty and it was denied due to “normal wear and tear.” I can’t afford ($120) to replace the drive belt every time I mow. Evidently it is located in a housing unit and im too old too fool with it myself). I’ve had Craftsman and Toro mowers for the last 8-10 years and never had to replace anything. I guess I should have spent the extra money to get another Toro.Update…belt not broken, just jumped off of pulley. Still bad though, happened twice today before finishing a 500 sq ft area.

Decent mower at an affordable price
This thing has been a beast so far. It has done a pretty good job but I’ve only used it twice. The one thing that I definitely have to take off a star for is the leveling system. It simply doesn’t work properly. I don’t know what’s going on but I tried to start out on the second to highest level and as soon as I started mowing, it just dropped all the way down to the first one. It’s not staying engaged in the notches. However, I was able to use a strap to hold the lever in place where I want it. Other than that, this seems like a pretty decent mower. I took it out of the box, finished assembly (it’s mostly assembled), added the included oil and put some gas in it then primed it as the instructions say to do and it fired right up on the first pull. Every time that I’ve had to shut it off to move twigs and stuff out of the yard, it has started right back up. Zero problems with that. The self-propelled function works pretty well but the tires are slick so sometimes it can lose traction. Not a big deal though.Overall, I would say this is about what I expected for the price. The leveling function not working properly is annoying but I’ll deal with it.

Great buy works wonderfully
Easy to put together, 15mins max. Cuts grass wonderfully and so smooth the self-propel makes for an EXTREMELY smooth and easy push even up hills. The only challenge we faced was knowing where to put the grass spout on the side. I referred back to a picture in the listing and it shows how it snaps on the side. I highly recommend it’s worth the money. Looks sleek and large.

Good mower
So far, so good. It was super easy to set up and came with the oil and funnel for it. Also came with a spark plug wrench for later whenever you will have to change it. I just had to tighten a few bolts and I was mowing 15 minutes after opening the boxMy lawn is about half 13,000 sq feet and I mowed it with no problem.I will update if any problems pop up.

Did Not Start
I purchased this Amerisun 21-inch self-propelled lawn mower on May 20. It would not start. Amazon sent me a refund, though. I used the refund to purchase a PowerSmart lawn mower, which is the same company as Amerisun. After three uses, the PowerSmart lawn mower will not start. So, these Amerisun and PowerSmart lawn mowers seem to have significant problems.

This mower might be an off brand but it is a very good machine. Starts on one or two pulls and does a good cutting job
