I’ve got lots of bit ratchets – they’re one of my favorite tools. I was curious whether I would like this T-handle configuration or if it would just get in the way. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it for working on bikes and motorcycles. I often use T-handles, at least on motorbikes, but I might actually like this better.The handles on either side double as bit extenders – which I thought might make them wobble in the handle, but I didn’t notice that at all. It’s an interesting modular design. While I played with moving stuff around, I found I only actually used it in the T-handle configuration. Using it that way, it has a ton of torque to offer (best be carful if you’re using it on Torx or hex-head fasteners).I used it with small sockets too (like 8-12mm) and it didn’t break or bind up. I’ve definitely broken a big ratchet or two before when doing that (note, I had the 1/4″ hex to 1/4″ square drive adapter to use with sockets, this doesn’t come with one).It seems to have a sufficiently fine ratchet mechanism. I’d guess around 32, though I didn’t do a count. Since it held up to some heavier use, it must have a decent gear and pawls inside. Back drag isn’t bad either. It’s not the lightest-action bit ratchet I own, but especially for the size, it’s pretty good.Overall, I’m impressed and pleased with this tool. Especially for working on mountain bikes.
On the farm –
The kit is pretty good if a bit small in terms of bit quantity.The driver disassembles into three pieces to stow away into the case, and then reassembles into a T-handled driver. The driver itself has a built in ratchet which is quite convenient.The bits themselves cover the basics, like slot and phillips, then there are a few of the more common Allen key sizes, and finally a few of the Torx Security style bits with the detent in the center of the bit. While it’s billed as a precision screwdriver set, the only thing I would consider ‘precision’ is the driver handle itself. The bit quantity is far too run of the mill, there’s no watchmaker size bits, or bits for taking apart items like a laptop, nor especially the fancy triangle etc bits needed to take apart the seriously protected electronics like a video game console.So quality is good, I liked the machining, I liked how it all works and fits together, but the bits included are just too ho-hum. For the price, I think a few extra bucks would get you the ifixit or LTT precision kits which are seriously stacked in comparison.

I am impressed with this set, its metal, and the configurations with the three removable handles make this a versatile tool. You can attach bits to either handle or the main ratchet to allow for access to tight spaces… see attached photos. I have not encountered any of the issues others have complained about so far. The bits hold securely in the hex receptacles and do not come out when used. The T Handle is nice for loosening tight or stuck bolts.

I really like this set because it includes all of the screwdriver heads that I could ever need. The ratchet is good. My only issue is that while it provides turning torque for screws, it is not designed to provided axial pressure to hold it in place against the screws that it is working on. Therefore, if axial pressure is not applied, there is the risk that the screwdriver bit will (partially) “slip” from screw’s slot, thus potentially “stripping” it rendering it incapable of being further tightened or unscrewed. Ratcheting devices like this are more commonly used with hexagonal socket sets because those sockets provide sufficient depth of application such that axial pressure is less necessary. This set would be significantly improved if it included some hexagonal sockets so that it could be used with both hexagonal headed screws and bolts as well as slotted screws.

I picked this one originally for use in the shop, but I decided to keep it for my electronic workbench.The kit is nicely built, magnets on all holders and a basic selection of bits that makes it perfect for a small project. The ratchet has a smooth operation and allows for use in limited space. The arms double as a small screwdriver is pretty nice.Quality is good, case locks correctly unlike my other case that tends to open, and pieces stays in place when moving around.
