The best restoration kit Ive usedâ¦.and ive used 5 or so
I did this headlight restoration in Feb of 2025. The kit is great and the restoration was easy enough. I just washed the car in August 2025 and the restoration still looks great. My wife parks this car outside all day at work so the sun beats down on this all day here in So Cal. Iâm happy with how this product has performed. 3M is a reliable product. You wont regret it. I did the same to my Silverado a month later and ot also looks great still. Kit only does 1 car. Photo was taken 6 months after application

Amazingly simple and looks great!
This worked like a dream. Weâve had our headlights polished at the shop before but I thought Iâd try this kit to save some money. Wow! Works great. Trust the process and do exactly as instructed. The end result was headlights looking like they did when we bought the car 13 yrs ago. Will regularly apply the finish clear coat to keep them looking great.

This kit has pretty good reviews and it worked well for me. I used a 20 volt drill and it took me about an hour per headlight. I started with a used battery and changed to a full charged battery for the second light. The kit says to use two layers of tape around the edge of the lights to protect the paint. I had enough for about 1.5 lights. Used regular blue painters tape to complete the second light and it worked ok. Instructions were good, explained what to look for when sanding. Lights will be hazy when finished sanding but the coating transforms the lens into a clear coat. Good results for the price.

Worked well for me on a lens i’ve restored twice before with Sylania kit. The Sylvania restoration lasts about 2-3 years then starts clouding again. I liked the drill based sanding a LOT better than the hand based sanding, but despite 2 layers of tape did manage to cut through and put a small mark in the paint on my bumper so next time 3-4 layers of tape. Not a major issue for me. This kit was good value, fast and efficient. I like that it is possible to buy additional wipes and an additional 3000 grit pad in the “Quick & Easy Headlight Restoration” kit for just $7.I only restored one (large GMC Sierra Denali) headlight because the other side had been replaced with a new lens several years into owning the vehicle. It still looks pretty good. I’ll probably restore both sides next time but once it’s done, you have to keep doing it every 2-3 years so I’m not doing that side until I really need to. I wiped that side with the wipes though…maybe it will help protect longer having another coat. Or maybe it will destroy it and I’ll have to do the full restoration. No matter, this kit looks like enough to do both sides, other than the wipes and possibly the 3000 grit single pad.-1 star for lack of a 2nd glove, lack of a 2nd 3000 grit pad. And it would be nice to be able to buy just the UV Clearcoat packets alone at low cost. But these kits are cost effective and seem to work.Overall satisfied and now I’ll just wait to see how long it takes until I have to do it again. Sylvania kit lasted 2-3 years. This say on the box it lasts “up to 2 years” so maybe next time I’ll sand with the 3M kit, but buy a bottle of the sylvania clear coat and do that if it lasts better. We’ll see.

12 year old headlights looks almost brand new!
Works as advertised. Easy to use. Took me longer than 40 minutes but I suspect I probably wasn’t following the directions to the letter. When they say light to medium pressure, they literally mean just that – if your drill has enough juice, it shouldn’t be a problem.Wish they’d had one extra pad each of the initial (gold) and the intermediate (white) sanding paper. I could’ve done a more thorough job on my headlights. I also wish I’d taken a before and after picture! But overall very satisfied! Would definitely recommend – absolutely worth the money!

Headlights look like new
Works amazing. Very easy to use. Easy to understand instructions. Make sure you have a spray bottle for water for the last step. Only takes about 45 minutes to complete the process for both headlights.

Must have for your car!!!
I was skeptical before I purchased this product but this product is a WOW!!! Easy to use ( Read and follow the instructions) and take your time during the process. Don’t rush!! I have like 3 mechanical skills from 1 to 10! I can replace a burned bulb and replace cabin and engine filter. This was easy to use and the results are as I wanted. Great smoothness and easy to clean residue and refresh your head lights. I have a Kia Optima and the headlights started to turn yellow! That is GONE!!!! I had some dye spots on my taillights and the solvent I used damaged the finish turning some areas white. That is Gone!!! I saved close to 500$ and Is enough to do it again or two cars!!!

Nothing wrong at all with the product. But, since Amazon decided I needed to pay over double without VAT, if you cannot get it from 3M themselves- buy something else.

At last year’s MoT, the headlights had to be polished by the garage to achieve a pass. Twelve months on, the lenses look hazy again. Took my time with the kit and achieved a fantastic result – almost like new. Plenty of water with the final abrasive pad before applying the clearcoat after drying thoroughly. This final step transforms the lens to near new brilliance. Very impressed and highly recommended!

Je ne met pas souvent des avis sur Amazon mais honnêtement la j’en suis bluffé.J’ai vu toute les évaluations positives sur ce produit donc je me suis lancé.Je possède une BMW E39 de 2003 et ses phares vieux de 23 ans étaient assez abîmés (comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos)J’ai suivi à la lettre les consignes dans le manuel ainsi que suivi une vidéo YouTube et le résultat est nickel.Ce n’est pas PARFAIT parce-que câest la première fois que je restaure des phares en ponçant la coque (que d’ailleurs j’ai beaucoup stressé durant le processus et je pense donc que les 2/3 erreurs viennent de la)Mais honnêtement si vous prenez votre temps et que suivez les consignes à la lettre tout va bien se passer pour vous et vous aurez le résultat que vous attendez !
