4COVR 4K Outdoor Security Camera
I bought and installed these POE (Power Over Ethernet) cameras about 6 months ago and and have been happy with the results so far. I installed 8 cameras and all the cameras are functioning as expected. Picture quality is pretty good and I have not experienced any issues when reviewing the footage. Depending on the number of cameras you install, the time frame for storage may be an issue. I believe you can install an additional hard drive in the NVR to extend you storage time frame. Check your NVR for technical specs regarding storage.

This kit includes 4 cameras, an HD receiver, 4 ethernet cables, a power supply, and a mouse, which is everything you need for a basic, working setup thatâs really, really cool. The instructions are a translation, but they get the basics across. They assume you have some background knowledge of computer networking and security system terminology, which I donât have, so most of the acronyms are confusing gibberish to me. With the current, basic setup Iâve been able to employ so far, this system provides live video of an area and displays it on a monitor, pointing out humans and vehicles moving within fair range of its view. Night vision is automatic, and it looks crisp. You can toggle microphones individually so that you can hear any sounds a specific camera is picking up. This system includes lots of possible features and settings to learn and toggle. Iâm still trying to figure much of that out, but it looks like there are potential options for scheduling, identification, alarms, facial recognition, playback, and storage. And thatâs just the terminology that I can understand as a noob. There are other options available, but I have no clue what most of it even means.The physical materials are solid and of good quality, based on my non-experience with such a system. The sleek, all-black cameras are housed in a metal housing. They arenât overly visible and intimidating, so you can make them discreet, which is what we wanted for our home. Installation was intensive, as it required us to crawl around all day in our hot, Florida attic, but Iâm glad that everything is wired versus being wireless. From what Iâve been able to determine, there is no wifi aspect to this system as it comes â you have to hardwire an internet connection, which I like a lot, hacking-wise and EMF-reduction-wise.Overall, this system operates well, but weâve experienced some camera cutouts that we still need to troubleshoot (that means going back up in the attic), and the settings take time for a novice to play with and learn.

MUST READ REVIEW!!I have owned a Nightowl camera system previously and when I was looking for a New Camera system for my new home, itâs been overwhelming. In fact I originally went with Blink for the first 2 years and they did what they should do but I wanted more as I owned a security system prior. After hours of research and indecisiveness I chose this system and boy I am SUPER happy. Easy to setup, straightforward and simple. Cameras have weight which consists of good quality. The app is EXTREMELY convenient and great functionality. Again, Iâm glad I made this choice and would do it again and again. HIGHLY recommend!!!

The PoE setup ensures a smooth installation process, and the IP67 waterproof rating makes them suitable for outdoor use.However, the Guard Viewer app leaves much to be desired. It lacks intuitive features and isnât the most user-friendly experience, which could be frustrating for those who rely on mobile monitoring.Overall, this system provides strong video quality and dependable security, but expect a somewhat basic design and a less-than-stellar app experience. If video clarity is your priority, this is still a solid choice.

Great NVR camera
Easy to setup. All the camera have a built in microphone only issues mics pick up a lot of background noise. Camera are so clear. Setting up the remote view was simple no need to have an IP address.
