Be Careful it Will Work
The shelves have flared sleeve fittings….wide for the bottom and less wide on top so shelves need to be assembled carefully. They slip over the plastic sleeves easily and 3/4 of the way down if shelf is fitted correctly. The shelves will not fit or slip over the plastic sleeves at all if the are fitted incorrectly, so don’t force it or the plastic sleeves will strip the little ridge that fits into the leg recesses to hold the shelf in place. It’s light weight and delicate so go gently and it works great. I removed the feet to assemble so they wouldn’t crack when I tapped the shelves down with an open end wrench and a small hammer.

Simple, Clean, and Cost-Effective Shelving Unit
This shelving unit is well made and the perfect size to fit under my staircase. The metal frame is durable and high quality, and itâs the perfect height to fit in the little closet under the staircase in my house. The metal frame is the perfect thickness – not too thin but also not too thick. This unit has overall been perfect for organizing tools and other household items! No holes, and the unit functions perfectly for keeping my possessions stored safely. Would recommend!

Ease of assembly
Was pretty easy to put together. Once you look at the directions and the pieces, it works pretty well. You can make the shelves as high or as low as you need. Definitely sturdy, and I will be ordering another one in the future. The shelves are very sturdy and can take the weight.
