Does exactly what it’s made for.
This thing works great. The construction isn’t super sturdy but it’s made to hold shoes not weights. That being said it’s better if you connect two of them together. I keep cedar shoe trees in all of my shoes which adds a significant amount of weight to each shoe and still it’s very sturdy. You could screw it to the wall for added stability but my baseboards didn’t allow for that. If you are only buying one unit then you will likely need to screw it to a wall, as a single unit mine would topple over with more than three pairs on it but with two units clipped together this thing is really stable, but to be fair my shoes are really heavy, especially when you add cedar shoe trees. As for the people saying they had trouble putting this thing together, I suspect they’re not very handy. This thing is super simple to put together I didn’t even need the instructions. This thing is no-frills, it’s not very stylish but it gets the job done for a great price and I suspect it’s going to last a lot longer than those cheap partical board shoe cubbies.

Pain to put together
I appreciate its size; it is flimsy, but I expected a little bit of wobble. It was a pain in the behind to put together because the slats didn’t fit well into the holes. I had to use scissors to trim and widen the holes. Glad the hammer came with them, though didn’t help without the adjustments I had to make. Also had to modify the order of slats versus the order instructions recommended because of this. I almost gave up and sent it back, but it is the smallest width I could find for a small space. Also, it doesn’t fit Vans high tops well at all. Ended up putting them on their side to fit in there.

Low quality shoe stand but does it’s job.
I was looking for a compact shoe stand with 2-3 shoes to keep on it. Saw this product and bought it in a hope to solve my problem. It solved my problem but it has it limitations. First assembly is not detail and font& figure are too small. Second, the part don’t assemble easily due to poor quality of plastic and shape of pieces. Finally, the whole stand wobbles. In conclusion, the product solved my problem temporarily, my only hope is that the poor quality plastic and construction don’t give in too early.Pros1) Compact2) Minimal3) solves the problemCons1) Poor assembly2) Wobbliness of stand3) less long term durability

When you try to push the pieces in one by one it’s a pain, but once you assemble all and push from the top they lock in. Once they do it’s great, no issues! I got 3 and once I assembled all 3 and pushed down all 3 secured into place.

I have an odd shaped closet and these fit in there perfectly. My hubby’s size 12 shoes stick out a tiny bit, but it works for what I need it to. Easy to assemble as well.

They pop apart constantly. Not recommended.
