Alternate order of assembly
I had planned on building work benches in my shop, but when I saw these for a very reasonable price point with good reviews, I decided to purchase them instead. Good call. The instructions were easy to follow, but I learned a few things assembling the first one and the second two went faster. Hereâs what I learned; I hope it helps someone else. There are no extra bolts or washers included, so manage parts with that in mind. The hardware that is included is nice quality. Iâm kind of picky about this point, and have never understood manufacturers going cheap on hardware. I did find a couple of instances where the threads looked like they were going to be problematic, but using the wrenches for leverage allowed me to get past the minor problems with these. The welds werenât really pretty, but they got the job done.Start by pulling the leg extensions out of their framework and attach the legs to the casters rather than the caster to the leg so you can control the rotation. Also, watch out because the caster has sharp edges right next to the ball bearings. Next step, attach the legs to the leg frame using the knobs provided.I got lucky and opened these with the workbench top upside down, what which made it easier to assemble. I slid the top onto a chest freezer, and then attached the long rail that stabilizes the legs. Fasten the bolts with the washers hand tight to the table top. The included wrenches are not very useful, but you can get the job done with them if you donât have any other tools. If you have a socket set, that will make this much easier. Once that stabilizer bar is attached, itâs easy to see how to orient the leg assemblies. Bolt leg assemblies to the table top and the stabilizer, keeping the bolts hand tight until you have everything lined up and fitting together, then tighten everything down.Itâs possible to assemble these at the shortest or the tallest setting, but then you can only use one of the height adjustment knobs, and I find itâs more stable with two knobs on each leg. It is possible to adjust the height after you get it standing up, but I recommend figuring it out first. The instruction say that two people are recommended for assembly. Itâs possible to do it with one person. The hardest part is flipping it over on its legs, and I found that most easily done by standing up on end and then lowering it down. The casters are a really nice quality, and the bench rolls easily. The step levers for locking the wheels lock and unlock easily. Itâs going to be easy to add an extra shelf that stretches from one leg assembly to the other. I plan on just putting a couple of screws in on the bottom of a board on the outside of the leg assemblies to keep it from getting knocked off easily.I ordered three of these so that I could use them in different formationsâa T, an L, lining them up the long way or side-by-side-by-side, etc. I think for me they were a better choice than my original plan to build a workbench. They are lightweight, easy to move, versatile, and sturdy. The table tops scratch pretty easily, but they are workbenches, and you have to expect that. I would appreciate being able to order clamps that would allow these to be linked in multiples in different configuration, but Iâll figure out something for that. Just locking the wheels will get me most of the way there.Overall, Iâm very pleased, and have no reservations in recommending these. I wanted something that would allow for a lot of versatility. These can work as project benches, potting benches, convenient ways to do light maintenance on equipment, etc. If I were doing heavy woodwork or mechanical work, I might want more of a specific workspace, but I canât speak to that because thatâs not my intended use. I think these will last me a long time and serve me well in a variety of uses, which is what I was looking for.

Pictures are false advertising
Beware that what is shown in the pictures is not what you will get. All the photos show what appears to be a 2 in thick table top. But the actual table is only 3/4 in thick. The only way that this is not pure false advertising is that there is a single picture indicating that it’s actually a 3/4 in top. Only reason it’s not heading back is because it’s sturdy enough for the light loads I have. Still, can’t rare something with deceptive practices like that higher than 1 star.

You will not regret buying this⦠I can almost guarantee that!
Very easy to put together, love the adjustable legs, very sturdy, very nice real wood bench⦠easily rolls wherever you need to fit. Iâd argue itâs as solid of a Bench as an equivalent sized craftsman or any of the big names. Shoot, for the price you cannot beat it imo. Ima buy another. Highly recommend! Trust me, I know quality when I see and feel it. This is no B- grade hoop tie⦠wicked mint! Best bargain Iâve got in a minute!
