Very sturdy/ Will serve the purpose
This shepherds pole is great. It looks great and is very well made and easy to assemble. It screws together so you could probably leave one section out to make it a little shorter. This shepherds hook was a little too tall, so I ordered the smaller one. I don’t think it is as sturdy as the 72″ one. The 4 prongs at the bottom are not that strong

Great for Solar Pathway Lights
The picture makes these look larger, so they were smaller than I thought. That said, they work well for solar lights along a walkway. The quality is solid, and they stake firmly into the ground

It has way more prongs that go in the ground for stability than your normal 2 or three.
Itâs very strong and very sturdy when placed in the ground. Starting at 7 feet, it can be reduced to different heights depending on the number of poles used and it has a nice Shepardâs hook for hanging things.

Item is easy to assemble. However, during a thunderstorm the pole bent. Had to end up removing the ground prongs and attach the unit to the patio support beam. Overall it’s a ok product.

9.27.25 I have the pair installed, so far so good (one day). Notes – This is a bent pipe. The threaded joints are solid. The inside radius of the hook is 7.5 inches, which is considerably smaller than solid stock shepherd hooks sold in the big box stores. My old big box store hook has an inside radius of eleven inches. Mine are working fine for my wind spinners but if you have something larger (like a potted plan) it may not be suitable. This is a flat pack item, so the perpendicular ground spikes are not welded to the center shaft, it is a cylinder that straddles the center shaft. It works fine. The end of the hook has a rubber(ish) cap that will probably succumb to UV, time and weather. It should be easy to replace or you make your own plug/cap.

These are easy to plant in the ground and sturdy once they are in. NOTE THE SIZE LISTED INCLUDES THE 9.5 INCHES IN THE GROUND. Due to this, I am returning mine and purchasing the next size up. No matter the size, the top and bottom are very sturdy, but the pole itself is hollow and screws together in sections and those are the weak points so it cannot bear hardly any weight. I was able to put small hanging plants on them but when I watered them they became too heavy. These do not hold very much weight, they will bend and and break at the seams. If you have something lightweight these are great, otherwise you should look for something sturdier. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying sturdier ones, but they were expensive $50-$70 depending on the height etc.

This is a good solid and heavy duty stand, it’s nicely finished and all the threaded joints went together smoothly and form a good solid stand once all the prongs are sunk in the ground. I use it for a Hummingbird feeder with a couple of perches attached and it provides a good solid base for the feeder, I would certainly buy again.
