Only had it for a week, but so far it’s been worth it.
are there quirks? yes. were there instructions? no. I debated dropping a star because of some these things. But when I factored in the fact it was 111 dollars and it’s given me a better infotainment system than my 2017 ford, I just can’t.I deactivated their stupid “ai” bot that wants you to pay. Pretty sure that was eating up a lot of resources. Getting to Android Auto is a little weird, and I would have really liked a physical knob for volume. but I’ve got android auto, it works well, and connects easily and was easy enough to figure out. When it came to the install on my stock 04 CRV, instructions could’ve helped, but there are many optional set ups, and if you’ve got a custom set up you’d still have to figure some things out any way.I used chatGPT to help with my install, and got through it pretty easily. Took a couple hours but I took my time. The mic I put on top of my A pillar and routed the cable down to the windshield, across the front, and there was a small channel to get the wire straight to the back of the unit. I managed to get the GPS stick on block directly on top of that little channel in the middle of the dash against the windshield, and also managed to get the wire through it directly to the back. I was proud of my cable management, it’s VERY clean. But basically, I didn’t have to use like 75% of the connectors.I’m confident in my back up skills, so I didn’t bother with that. If you’re going to use it, I don’t think I’d use their mount and little screws. Something tells me it just won’t last in the elements. As for the camera I can’t attest to it. I really wish they offered a cheaper option without the back up cam. If they could’ve knocked off like 25 – 35 bucks and just removed all the stuff for that it would be an insane deal.If you’re somewhat savvy and handy, you should be able to handle updating your old CRVs infotainment system with this little kit.I was looking for EQ, but haven’t found it just yet. It’s probably in there somewhere…hopefully. If not, I may come back and knock a star off considering the other quirks and no instructions.

The only upgrade for older CRVs
Great product! Screen looks great in sun and dark. CarPlay works great. Unit came with a defective backup camera, which Mia at tech support sent a replacement. All systems solid and backup camera looks awesome.

Feels Like a New Car Now
Installed this in my 2002 CR-V and it instantly made the car feel way more modern. The screen size is perfectâbig, bright, and way clearer than I thought it’d be. It makes maps and music super easy to see while driving. The touchscreen’s fast too, no lag or weird delay when switching between stuff.Ease of use? Solid. Android Auto and CarPlay connect without even thinking about it. The menu setupâs super simple, and I barely needed the instruction manual (but it was clear when I did). Functionalityâs great youâve got Bluetooth, GPS, a backup cam, and even settings to tune the sound how you like it. Speaking of that, the sound quality got way better once I dialed it in with the equalizer.Install wasnât bad either. Took some time but not hard if youâve done car stereos before. For what you get, this thingâs a total win. If youâve got a CR-V from back in the day and want it to feel like something newer, this oneâs totally worth it.

Modern upgrade that brings new life to an old Honda.
Installs beautifully in my 2002 CR-V. The touch screen is bright and responsive, and wireless CarPlay works flawlessly. It modernized the whole dashboard and gave me functionality I’m used to in newer cars, GPS, Bluetooth, backup camera, and great audio tuning. Installation wasnât too complicated it looks factory once itâs in.

Breathed New Life Into My Older CRV
I didnât think my 2005 Honda CRV could feel this modern until I installed this 8 Core Android 13 head unit. The 9-inch IPS screen is sharp and bright, making everything from maps to music look crystal clear. Touch response is smooth, and the interface feels as quick as a tablet definitely not sluggish like some aftermarket stereos. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connect instantly, so I can jump in, start driving, and have my apps ready without fumbling with cords. The Bluetooth is rock-solid, calls are clear, and streaming music sounds noticeably better thanks to the 32-band DSP. After a little tuning, the audio quality blew me away itâs miles ahead of the factory setup. The included HD backup camera is another big win. The picture quality is crisp, even at night, and it makes reversing a lot less stressful. GPS and WiFi features are reliable too, so navigation is always on point, and I can download apps or stream without issues.

Installed, but with no clear instructions.
While installing the radio there wasnât any clear instructions, but I managed to put things together like legos and figured most of it out. When it came to the rest of the wiring harness which includes the camera and USB ports there wasnât any indication on what to do next. Also while using the radio I start to notice the device begins to get hot to the touch. I really donât understand what that means, if itâs a hazard or not but something must be done to prevent it from overheating or catching things on fire.In the instructions it does state that one of the wires must be grounded but I didnât get any indication on which wire or any other clear instructionsOverall, itâs good but lacking very much on how to install it properly.
