Handsome and Functional
Prompt delivery. Very durable item, also classically designed. This fits right in with the other items on our kitchen counter. Thick gage stainless steel & a handy pail handle. A breeze to clean. Looks great and no smells
We keep this composter on our kitchen counter to collect our kitchen scraps. Since we began using it (versus the bowl we were using before), there have been no bad smells and most importantly, no fruit flies. It is a perfect size for a family of four if you plan to empty it every two days or so. It also looks nice on our counter. Highly recommend.

Came dented but it works!
Although the lid arrived dented, this pail is great. I have no smell. no fruit flies (it’s winter and I won’t know about summer for a bit) and I don’t have to take out the regular trash as frequently (because there is no food waste in it).The size is good, I got the 1.7 gallon because I take my trash to the dump about once a month and I need the capacity to match the time frame of my dump runs. Overall, would have liked it to arrive undamaged but its working out as expected.

Looks good, no odors, and makes me feel like I’m doing a bit to help the environment.
Looks good on the counter and that charcoal filter really works. I’ve had some items that really stank when I would empty it on the compost pile, but not a whiff of the tank odor with the lid on. Brushed metal looks great and is easy to clean.

A ready sentinel next to our sink…
So far we are very pleased with our purchase of the Abakoo Compost Bin. It is of ample size, is attractive and masks the unpleasant odors most efficiently. All in all it was money well spent… We will see how it holds up after a few months.

fruit flies galore!
*1 year updateI added a star because it’s held up very well from constant heavy use, and waste stains are easy to clean. But, no excuse for a ‘compost bin’ NOT To be airtight.Had to wrap 2 or three times with electricians tape to get a decent seal so no flies get in.as they say; I really wanted to like this product. It’s actually well made, just a very poor design. The lid does not seal well as fruit flies come and go as they please. I added a large rubber band to help seal but still not keep flies out.I wish I could return this but I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now.The handle was great and it actually is a very nice looking appliance in the kitchen, and easy to clean.* note: leaves marks on white quartz counter tops. Easy to wipe away marks… but just a warning. Cheap steel + quartz not a good combination. This can needs “feet”.
