Overpriced!
Useful for dried flower organizing, this particular set contains 6 plastic containers: 4 containers that measure 6½”x2¾” that are slightly over ½” high, and 2 containers that measure 10″x7¼” almost ¾” high. They will hold smaller dried flowers or leaves but not large ones such as a dried fern. The included instructions for storing dried flowers and reusing (drying out) the included desiccant will be helpful to users of this kit.The gold letter stickers are unpractical for this kind of kit because it would not only be time-consuming to pick and stick letters 1 by 1, but they would need to changed up whenever switching the type of dried flowers you are storing. To me, it would be much simpler to write on a piece of masking or painters tape with a pen or marker and switch that out as needed. Too many steps otherwise. For useful functionality, I would use the letter stickers for another type of craft project but wouldnât with this dried flower kit.The 1 size of enclosed zipper baggies are 6âx9â narrow and long, which would work for a lot of dried flower types. The 6″x8″ and 8âx12â blotting sheets are pre-cut regular wax paper. When I’m drying my flowers, I always sandwich the flowers or greenery in between 2 sheets of wax paper, either inside a large, heavy book or in a wood flower press. This prevents them from sticking to whatever they’re being dried and pressed in because flowers have moisture in them, and moisture will evaporate as they dry, causing them to shrink slightly. The reusable desiccant packs are supposed to arrive orange in color in order to be usable right out of the package. However, mine arrived dark green in color so Iâll have to nuke the beads in the microwave to turn orange and dry out before my first use. These packs look like tiny glass beads, not the normal sandy silica gel.I give this kit 4 stars since the gold letter stickers are unpractical, and the current price of $26.99 is exorbitant for what this kit contains. Personally, I wouldnât pay more than $10 or $15 for this item.

perfect for storing dried flowers flat
This is a fantastic set for storing dried flowers. It comes with two large, two medium, and four clear plastic bins for sorting and storing your dried flowers. The larger bins are easy to open and close, but are secure when snapped shut. Medium and small bins have a different locking mechanism, and they close tightly but can be a bit hard to open; these things are unlikely to snap open if you cart them around in a tote bag. Also included in the set are blotting papers (very slick, almost as though they’re coated with silicone or something; flowers definitely won’t stick to these the way they can with thin tissue paper); reusable desiccant packs with instructions on how to recharge them; zip top storage bags sized for the medium and large bins, and even multiple sets of gold letter stickers to label your boxes. The boxes are clear so you can clearly see what’s inside, so I’ll be labeling mine by year rather than content. I feel like if I’d had these storage boxes in the spring, my rose petals wouldn’t have gotten so wrinkled when drying (see picture). And I can’t even find my best pressed flowers, reminding me of exactly why I need these containers. This set offers more than enough content for the price and it’s absolutely worth it.The largest box is A4 with interior dimensions of 8.75″ x 11.5″, so standard American letter paper doesn’t fit inside of it. The middle box is true 5″ x 7″ and I’m thinking about using one to store my 5″ x 7″ Gelli plate, which fits perfectly. The small box is 2.5″ x 5.5″ but due to round corners can only fit 2.25″ x 5.25″ paper. The smaller blotter paper fits this box well when folded in thirds.

Good Project For Beginners
For the price, this is not a great buy. The semi hard plastic cases are nice, but I use the flowers I dry and was hoping this was something I would use to store them in. They are actually easier to keep and store using press and seal. With this set, it implies someone would take the time to put the dried flowers in a plastic baggy, inside with blotting paper, a desiccant packet, and then an envelope, and then inside the plastic container, only to go a step further with little golden letters to label the plastic containers. The flowers are still loose and knock around enough to break pieces off, they aren’t long enough to store grass stems, and unless a person is OCD, I don’t see taking the time to peel off individual letters to stick on the storage cases. Just saying, the storing of dried flowers in this case, is an art project in itself, so I took a star off because I feel it is too high a price for what this is. But would be great for beginners who don’t know the involved process to dry the flowers in the first place.

Pretty new to flower pressing but after some research and tutorials I can say this is an all-you-need kit. The silica gel that changes colour as it absorbs moisture is a really nice touch. Recommended.

Really easy to use flower drying kit. Comes with 4 flat plastic boxes to dry the flowers in, blotting paper, Ziploc bags, silica gel and a sheet of letter stickers to label your boxes. The Ziploc bags are a perfect fit for inside the boxes and the silica gel is reusable which I’ve never heard of before it turns green when it’s absorbed water and you microwave them for 2 minutes and they turn orange again and reused! So for storing your pressed flowers, the flower is wrapped in the blotting paper then put inside a bag and that goes in to a box with the silica. This prevents fading and keeps the flowers intact and undamaged and it definitely makes it easier to use them as they are labelled now too. Definitely worth the price.

This set of 4 boxes comes with everything you need to store dried flowers and help to preserve them long term. Each box has really sturdy clip closures that secure them really well. They have a reasonable depth to them so you can get a couple of packets of dried flowers in each one.The kit comes with a large stack of paper which helps to both protect and preserve your pressed flowers. The paper has a silky feel and you can get a nice crisp crease in it. The sheets should be reusable – unless you get some colour bleed from the flowers on to it. There is also a large number of clip fastening plastic bags included for you to slide your paper covered flowers in to.Maybe the best thing is the four packs of the silica gel beads. They start off an amber colour and then slowly turn to green as they absorb water. Once green they can be microwaved to remove moisture and return to amber and can be reused. The boxes do not hold a very large amount, but this does mean that you are less likely to overpack and damge your dried florals.I have some commercially purchased dried flowers for use in resin projects and these cases make a wonderful storage solution. Easly stackable in my crafting drawers and provide good protection to the delicate petals.

My daughter has gotten into flower pressing, so when I saw these, I decided to get them for her. They come with everything you need to store the flowers and allow you to keep everything very neat. Highly recommended.
