Skeptical but pleasantly surprised
This is one of those things that doesnât really have a need but is a nice addition to the room.I was skeptical about it even working, but figured if nothing else it would be a nice accent light when you donât want the big lights on in the room.I got it in the mail, opened the package and read the instructions, let me tell you thereâs nothing difficult about setting this up. Cleaned the TV, attached it around the back as instructed, and plugged it in. Worked right off the bat. I did install the app and went through the paring process and it does work, but the app is rather useless in my opinion.What I like about it: itâs really easy to install (like 6 minutes in total). I did use the clips though Iâm not sure they are necessary depending on the size of your tv. It works without any programming or setting anything up in the useless app. Just get the camera set up in the center top of the tv and put on your favorite show or movie.What did I learn: if you stare at the light, youâll wonder what the purpose is. Just watch the tv and let the ambiance happen. I thought the camera would be a distraction, once you set your mind to ignore it you donât notice anymore. I thought the light would be distracting but I found it isnât at all. I thought it would only work if the room was dark, that was wrong, itâs fine in a dark room or a well lit room.I really didnât think it would be able to truly change colors with the program on the screen, but it does and it tracks with the speed of the fastest movies like the marvel or other action films.This backlight is well worth the money, itâs a low price point for the quality of the product. While installing it, all I could think was, âthis is going to be a pain if I have to turn it on and off manually, and Iâll not getting my phone out everytime I want to watch tv. âToo easy, when the tv turns off the light turns off, when you turn the tv on, the backlight comes on and immediately starts to match the colors of the screen. It doesnât just switch between a couple of light colors all at once, it actually puts colors in the background based on the screen. I found this is adding a feeling to the room which adds to the show. I put it on a 55 inch screen and it was just about perfect, maybe get actually be a little long but it works just fine, so overall I would say the size or length does work just fine. I found it looks great with the white wall behind the tv and it helps show the actual colors and adds to the watching experience. I would probably not find the same results if you have your tv on a darker colored wall but if n a light wall it matches great.

Worth it!
Tried to attach video , but Amazon isnât letting me. However, product is amazing . Set up is very easy. Adhesive is very strong , doesnât fall off at all. I had to adjust mine and had a hard time pulling it back off to do so, so you wonât need to buy any extra tape or anything . Works just as expected and pictured on description. I like how they sync to music. They are also adjustable as far as how dim or bright you prefer your lights to be. Very happy i decided to spend the extra money for better quality. Would definitely recommend!

Decent product
Easy to install, make sure the surface is very clean and need to attach the little clips in the right spots as the adhesive on the strips on mine did start to come undone in certain spots and needs to be pressed back on now and then. App that is needed is pretty easy to use and the colors add a nice touch.

Awesome lightshow
Easy assembly, the lights are really cool, bright and easy to use, it has movie and sound settings that control the light-show on your phone. It fits my tv great, I have a 43âDefinitely would recommend, it upgrades the movie experience. I would definitely recommend the fireworks sound activated setting.

My prior TV had a more basic light strip that plugged into the TV USB and had basis color capability. It came on and off with the TV. I bought a new 77′ TV so I decided to upgrade my backlight too. I bought this one over more expensive equivalents from Govee. Overall, it gets the job done but you get what you pay for. I bought the largest one (75-85) since I have a 77″ TV but I had a lot of leftover slack. I should have bought the mid-sized one (65-75).What I liked:It was easy to install and setup. I had it working in just 15 min. It works as advertised. The lights definitely add a fun extra dimension to TV viewing. The app was easy to install and mostly intuitive. It has a lot of nice features. For instance, it has different presets for different moods and many customizable features as well. You can control the brightness of it as well. Of course, it changes color with the screen. You can synchronize it with other Ailofy products as well.What I didn’t like:No remote. You must use the app to turn it on or you need to turn it on from the mounted camera, which can be a real hassle if your TV is mounted to the wall. I don’t think the plain white color blends well, you can see color fringes at the edges. I found the camera calibration to be very difficult on my iphone. You’re better off using a large tablet for the calibration. Even after the calibration, it doesn’t always seem to do a great job of matching the colors to the screen. It seems to default to red or pink quite frequently, even though there may be none on the screen. Also, I feel like the adhesive tape on the camera is a little TOO sticky. I tried to reposition the camera and I really thought I was going to damage the TV with the amount of force it took to remove it.An interesting note: I had a lot of difficulty getting the calibration to work. I finally discovered that even though the instructions say that the device and the phone must be on the same network, that’s not exactly true: it must be on the same WiFi signal. The device only connects on a 2.4GHZ signal. My phone is connected to a 5GHZ signal. They are both on the same NETWORK, but that wasn’t enough. I finally discovered that I had to connect my phone to the 2.4Ghz signal to get the calibration to work.I wish it had a way to synchronize with the TV on/off. I don’t really want to pull my phone out every time I want to turn the backlight on.Overall I would says it’s a good product that gets the job done on a budget, but I do wonder if I would have been better off buying the more expensive Govee. Still, it’s going to make make movie nights at home a lot more fun! In the end, that’s what counts, right?
