Works great and easy to install. You will need an air flow sensor to make it work as well as 120v power.

Solid build and good value
Solid build and fairly easy to install with the included hardware/tools. Make sure to use the provided template; it makes drilling the pilot holes for the screws and hole for the bulb in the right location on the first try. 30 watt power draw with thick gauged power cord.

Great price for this item relative to competitors
I used this model to replace a competitor’s version of the same device. Installation was easy because the form factor of both devices was the same, enabling reuse of the existing mounting hardware. The price point for this model was significantly better than the competitive model, so if I need to replace the ballast again I will stick with this one.

After using these ( one in each unit) for 12 years no breathing problems, cleanair, HVAC duct cleaner people told me the ducts and coil were the cleanest they had ever seen. But I was talked into installing an LED peroxide generator instead. Latest and greatest. 2 years later, gobs of mold and filth and they charged me 2k for another duct clean. Bought this, fit right into original socket ( the old ballast was dead ). Fired right up, reassured by blue glow thru peephole, already less post nasal drip. When the HVAC folks approach me for the 5 year change on the led unit will tell them to pound sand.

Excellent for whatâs it intended !
Set this up over AC coil in ductwork⦠it will keep mold from forming and eliminate bacteria on coil .. keep it running year round as condensation is always forming in hot air/ ac ducts⦠very easy to install .. no hard wiring as it plugs in to 110v receptacle .. Iâd recommend changing bulb on yearly basis as it will lose efficiency⦠I installed in January and when serviceman came in late April he attested to how clean the coil was and agreed that ,in addition to air filter , this was a must for optimum performance .. replacement bulbs is 30w and can be found for around $30.00 in discount bulb suppliers..

Very easy install
The unit is well packaged and well documented for install. It also comes with the hole saw with the needed mandrel.It too longer to figure where to install and how to power. The install itself is about 15 minutes.A couple caveats you should know:1) you cannot install near a whole house humidifier installed in the supply duct. It would need to go before the humidifier.2) if installed in the supply side it needs to be at least 6 feet from the filter or 3 feet if installed in an 90° elbow before the filter.
