It works well and is 100% accurate. / Updates
I tested it for accuracy and am very happy. I will now use and trust it. I got the best results exhaling on the right side. In the application push the refresh button next the carbon dioxide levels, and it will show the results usually in about thirty seconds or less. I started exhaling and then pushed the button. The longer you hold your breath before the test the more carbon dioxide will be shown on the monitor. I also tested it outside. I do not live in a city. The normal outdoor carbon dioxide levels should be approximately 400 to 450 parts per million. I don’t need to compare this monitor to any others. Because, the outdoor levels on earth are a known fact. Super happy this wasn’t junk. If I want notifications on my telephone, I need to buy their hub. It’s $50. But, I could be anywhere and get an alert for any of the various options available in the settings. Alerts are shown when you open the application. But, that’s too late for me. So, for now I have them turned off. / On battery power the lowest carbon dioxide check is every five minutes. But, you can push the refresh button in the application to instantly check. I like the application and the ability to monitor everything over time. I need that function. Scrolling over the graphs can be done on the graph, and below it, on the time. The instructions were helpful.Update: #1 The measurement of carbon dioxide stops randomly for several hours at a time, as mentioned by other reviewers. It will stay locked on a number, and in the application show the same number for several hours. This has happened several times. I have reset the device, I have recalibrated the device, and I have removed the device in the application, as well as reinstalling the application, several times. It will work fine briefly. Then just get stuck and show the same reading for several hours.Tips: The update interval can be changed while on battery power. To change the update interval for being plugging in, you have to plug it in.The temperature on the display does not change to Fahrenheit, regardless of changing it in the application. You have to go to the settings, under Top Button Function, and select “Pressing the top button will switch the temperature unit”. Then press the top button once. The instruction manual says that if you do a calibration to do it on battery power. Also, it should be done outdoors. The carbon dioxide readings can be taken every five minutes on battery power and every one minute while plugged in. They can be taken more often while plugged in. But, that is not recommend. Due to possible heating up of the device. Which, may effect readings. The humidity and temperature can only refresh at the most, every five minutes. The application often does not show the latest readings, even after refreshing or closing and reopening. Usually, it will be behind by several minutes, and will eventually, randomly show the latest data. Also, after refreshing or opening the application it does not default to the latest readings on the graphs. So, every time you have to scroll for an unreasonable amount of time to get to the latest data. Plus, the scrolling and interaction of the graphs is glitchy and not consistent.I don’t want to pay for the Aranet4. But, it appears to be the only choice for a small device like this, that functions correctly.AirGradient is a larger device. But, it has won awards and is accurate. That one is $230, and $138 if you assemble it yourself.Update: #2 The company reached out to me after my review. I am revising my review back to 5 stars. Because, even though everything I said before is true, the malfunction of the reading of carbon dioxide “freezing” or stopping and the unit not taking any measurements for hours randomly or forever, only happens while the unit is plugged in. While, on battery power I have had no problems. But, the carbon dioxide measurement frequency is limited to every five minutes on battery power. That is not a super big deal. Considering, that I also have an Aranet 4, and both units have the lowest possible measurement frequency for humidity at five minutes. Both units are in basic contexts exactly the same. A few numbers here and there is nothing. Plus, the units often match nearly identically. But, for graphs and checking over hours, days and weeks, they are for the most part, the same. Not any jumps, or differences like that.I would prefer the carbon dioxide to be measured every minute. In the Switch Bot application, while in battery power it even offers to go more frequent in the measurements, down to seconds. Though it recommends against it due to possible heat that may affect readings. For less than half of the price of the Aranet 4 and basically near equal performance, I think this is a good option. I do not however know about the longevity of the product. But, customer service was great. No questions asked. Money back.I did just discover the situation about the unit only working for me consistently on battery power after they contacted me. So, I waited for the money to clear before writing this update. I get to keep the unit.I like it. Mine, just was not working correctly while plugged in.I think it’s personal preference and how much you want to spend. In my opinion there is basically zero difference between this Switch Bot and the Aranet 4. The Aranet 4 is smaller, and on battery power can measure carbon dioxide once a minute. But, that is not big factor for many. Still, important for some. My plan was to use a little external battery pack to get the one minute readings. But, in general most people don’t need readings every minute. I don’t. So, super happy.Thank you, Switch Bot.Update: #3 Showing a comparison of three devices. One only tests humidity and temperature. The white background photographs are the Aranet 4. The Aranet 4 is the best application by far. It can go in landscape and can be zoomed-in on.The examples show the accuracy of the device with humidity and carbon dioxide. Also, the zooming-in is a nice feature. But, it is not necessary and not very relevant to many. The tracking over time is basically the same as the Aranet 4, and that device is a lot more. The nicer application of the Aranet 4 is great. But, I don’t know if it’s worth 3 times the price of the Switch Bot.Zero problems for me when running on battery power. No “freezes” of monitoring in a week. Plugged-in I would get random “freezes” any day or night, for hours or forever. A different Switch Bot may be fine.I personally would buy the one with the best application if I was rich. I’m not.The application is the reason why I bought this device and it does what I need well enough. To monitor trends, changes over time, and to reference anything back to the data in the graphs.

Great item with good companion app
Nicely designed product with a solid companion app. The app allows you to download the raw data locally for personal analyzation. I left the meter plugged in (wasn’t able to test battery life), and let it collect data points as I tested various methods of CO2 reduction. Accuracy is very close, and the size of the meter is small and not distracting. My only knock is that there is no backlit screen, thus making it impossible to read at night and even very bright rooms due to reflection.

Great performance but with some connectivity issues
I bought this before I realized a newer version was available and maybe I should have waited. The device itself seems to be working well so far, though I don’t have another CO2 meter to test it’s accuracy. I absolutely love the ability to check the meter from the mobile app on my phone, however there have been several occasions that I’ve lost connectivity to the device for no noticeable reason hence the 1 star deduction. Regardless, it’s solid performance and cheap price still make this an easy to recommend product.

    I love SwitchBot!
The SwitchBot Meter Pro CO2 Indoor Air Quality Monitor is an excellent tool for maintaining a healthy environment. Its 5-in-1 functionality provides real-time CO2 readings alongside temperature, humidity, and more, making it versatile for home or office use. The large display is easy to read, and the Bluetooth connectivity ensures seamless data tracking with 2-year data storage to monitor trends over time. This will save my home from potentially health issues.I paired it with the SwitchBot 4-in-1 Air Purifier, and they work perfectly together. The purifier’s H13 HEPA filter and aromatherapy feature not only improve air quality but also create a pleasant atmosphere. Its RGB lighting adds a stylish touch, and the combination ensures I can monitor and purify the air simultaneously. This duo is a fantastic investment for anyone prioritizing health and comfort.

Great indoor CO2 monitor. Lets you know when you should open your windows.
Definitely is a good indicator for indoor air quality. Highly recommend this for folks who prefer to keep their windows mostly shut. Being within the switchbot eco-system means you could also program automated tasks for smart plugs or switches to increase airflow when CO2 builds up.

Value for money NDIR CO2 Monitor
$69 with a 30% off coupon is a great price! They used the industry’s best NIDR sensor for CO2 readings. I don’t have a Hub, but the setup is simple. I added it to Home Assistant via Bluetooth, and it works perfectly.I am comparing it to the Aranet4 for accuracy, and the readings are similar, with less than a 50 ppm difference between them. I have included a comparison graph for your reference; the yellow line represents the Switch Bot, while the blue line represents the Aranet4.The only downside is that when running on battery, the CO2 reading is recorded every 30 minutes, but when plugged in with a USB-C power cable, the readings occur much more frequently.Overall, I am happy with my purchase and plan to buy more units for each bedroom.
