tool box
cool box, its just the right size to store my smaller sized buffing pads and a few other detailing items, Im happy with it and the price was right, no big deal for me, but the clasp lock was loose in the box, I just had to snap it into place, not sure of theyre shipped like that or it slipped out during transport, no big deal as its so easy to put back it comes with a lift out tray, I wont use it for my items, but it will come in handy for organizing smaller items , it feels more sturdy once its locked , good job on this buy!

Toolbox perspective
Bought as a toolbox to house a bunch of extra drill bits, drivers, socket bits and so on. Essentially, a bunch of extra stuff that arenât part of my usual daily bag . As such itâs a garage box thatâs still mobile and see-through, not a âget-beat-up-everydayâ box.ProsVery good hinges (can never say enough about this with plastic boxes)Durable (within reason)Somewhat see-throughConsNone for meInner dimensions below.(variances are accounting for inner molding as seen in pics):Length at bottom: 12.5 – 12.75âLength at top: 12.75 – 13.75âIf specifics are a concern, assume 12.5â for entire inner lower-box.Depth at bottom: 5.5-6.25âIf specifics are a concern, assume 5.5â for entire inner lower-box.Height(Not exactly straight forward when getting to the lid area as this is where there would be uneven âmushingâ space)Inner Lower-box: 5 11/16â or 5.6875âInner Lid: 1 – 1 11/16 or 1.6875âEffectively, inner height is anywhere from 6.6875 – 7.366âWeight tolerances- Itâs currently holding 14 lbs of tools very comfortably and without concern.- 25 lb dumbbell: it held, but lid very visibly strained. Would not move it around this way, probably not even store this weight.- 20 lb dumbbell: holds decently, but would not subject to a lot of wild movement or banging around.- Anything sub 18 lbs should not be of any concern at all, even if moved aggressively. (This is not to say being tossed over a tailgate into a truck.)As a lightweight, see-through (sort of), fast-grab box, this works well for what I needed. Great hinges. Hope the measurements help.

Really nice case
My wife loves to make jewelry and needed a case to carry her jewelry tools and soldering iron. This box carries everything with room to spare. It is well made and of good quality. I would recommend this.

Sturdy and holds a lot
I use toolboxes to store all sorts of things. Most of the time I don’t use the removable trays. I just pile stuff to the brim. I have 2 of these toolboxes and they have worked well. They happen to be just the right size for part of my storage area.

Roomy and good for a reduced toolset left inside the house
A great roomy toolbox for inside the house.

Great product!
Great box for medication as tall enough all the bottles stand upright

Good, sturdy toolbox.
I liked the metal bail on the hasp, toolboxes always get more put in them than you expect to, so stronger features are always appreciated. Function-wise, it is as easy to use as any toolbox, opening, closing, carrying, all quite satisfactory. Iâve taken to buying toolboxes in different colors so I donât have to open a bunch of identical boxes to find the one I need. This comes in different colors, so Iâve got that covered. The fact this has a flat top for stacking makes it indispensable.

The “tray” has a giant hole in its center
Overall, it’s a reasonable small toolbox. Plenty of capacity, seems well built. Akro-Mills tends to build solid stuff. Don’t know how durable this will turn out to be, but the latch is metal, not plastic, and I fond no “living hinges”, so it bodes well for durability. That’s the good stuff out of the way. I wanted a toolbox with a tray, for the little stuff that doesn’t need to rattle around in the bottom with the heavier tools. This is one of the few smaller toolboxes I could find, with a removable tray…which, unfortunately, has a large hole in its center. Now, I understand why that hole has to be there…it’s a consequence of the molding process they used to make it. That is a reason, but not an excuse, for this abysmally poor design. As I expected, the slight lip around the hole in the tray does not prevent objects in it from falling down into the main tool box at the slightest jolt. After a day of this, I glued up a better tray, without a hole in the middle, out of 1/4″ plywood. It took me an hour, cost me nothing, because I used a small scrap I had on hand, and it works far better than Akro-Mills’ abysmal attempt.I would encourage Akro-Mills to redesign that tray. Because it’s pretty useless as storage for smaller items as it is. Other than that, this is a great toolbox for the price.

This toolbox has quite a lot of room considering its size, and the lid compartment can fit a fair few small parts. It closes well and the handle is sturdy. When you pick it up, itâs quite lightweight even with tools inside. Would recommend!

I have used this tool box at home for a first aid box and had a similar one at work (in a Hospital) for storing emergency equipment. For both situations, this tool box has done its job well.It is a good size for a pretty comprehensive first aid box for a family at home. I like regular first aid kits too, but I like to add a lot of specific items that might be useful for me or my family in an emergency that are not commonly found in regular first aid kits. This tool box replaced an old shoe box that I was using for my first aid kit and I think it is a significant upgrade both cosmetically and functionally. While it is somewhat bigger than the shoe box that I was using as a first aid kit, the tray in the top helps it hold a bunch more stuff overall. When I used one of these at work, it was able to hold some small but heavy equipment and disposable supplies for that equipment, tolerating being wiped down with Hospital wipes over and over again without the plastic degrading over the years, and not breaking with the load it had in it or from the occasional rough handling it was subjected to.If what you want to put in a tool box will fit inside this one, I think it is worth considering. I have found it to be handy, well constructed, and durable.

Love it! This case fits all my sewing notions and has room for more. The top tray fits my threads, and the bottom area fits everything else. It has a good quality latch to close it, the plastic doesn’t feel cheep or flimsy, and the handle feels nice when carried. Lovely product!

I use it to store the ratchet straps and tools in my Ute. Good little tool box for the price.
