Dependable and quite affordable
I didn’t want a second smart phone on my wrist, just a simple fitness tracker just to keep step count, and maybe tell me what time it is. This fits the bill, but also provides other useful health information, such as sleep, heart rate, and blood oxygen level.Battery life is quite dependent on how many features you have turned on. There’s a couple continuous monitoring settings for heart rate, spO2, etc. that can eat the battery considerably quicker. I’ve never found a need to turn them on, and can usually go a week on a charge. As far as accuracy, if I manually count a hundred steps, the tracker is always on the optimistic side, but it’s fairly repeatable. The spO2 and pulse match the equipment at the Dr’s office when I compared them, and the sleep tracker is spot on on bed and wake times. Of course I can’t comment on the accuracy of its measurements of REM, light, and heavy sleep, but will say that when it tells me I got very little REM and deep sleep, I can verify it through my grouchy grogginess…As far as dependability goes, I didn’t expect this to last a year, so I bought the two year protection plan. I am now approaching the two year mark with no issues other than a slightly decreased battery life. Also, this tracker is waterproof enough for swimming laps, while my wife’s much more expensive fitbit isn’t, so there’s that.

The best value heart monitor — accurate, detailed info, easy to use.
Searched widely for heart rate, pace, distance wrist monitor for getting back to running after being off for a few years. Bought Garmin Insight 2 years ago but could never figure out how to use it! WAY too complicated. I didn’t need email, texts, weather, and the screen was impossible to read in sunlight. Plus it was $250. Saw the Amazfit Band 7 and thought I’d try it. Absolutely perfect!! Does exactly what I need, super bright screen, battery lasts multiple days, able to delete apps that I never use so it’s really simple. Get full tracking data from my runs that go into an Excel spreadsheet. YAY! Super good price. Band was really a pain but then found alternatives on Amazon, Just pop out the watch and push into the new band. Perfect.

Decent product for the price but has some obvious flaws.
Decent product for the price but has some obvious flaws. The Amazfit works pretty well, but there are some issues with it:1) The wrist band is weak. It will come undone relatively easily — which is an issue for an exercise “work out tracking” watch. If you are jogging or sprinting there’s a good chance it will come loose and fall off.I’ve remedied this by buying an alternative wrist band, but this feels like a basic design flaw that should not be there.2) The Zepp App used to control/read data from the watch is clunky and confusing. It’s not AWFUL, but could be a bit more intuitive.3) There is no alarm and the watch cannot set off an alarm on your phone. It’s wake up signal is to vibrate. Why can’t it get my phone to play a jingle along with the vibrtation seeing as it’s already linked to my phone? It works pretty well…just has some annoying flaws

Save a little longer and get one of their higher end watches, not this one.
I received this product on Feb. 2, 2025 and I am writing this review of my experience as of March 14, 2025. Overall, I am incredibly disappointed in this watch. If you don’t want to read my thesis on this watch, here’s my main point – If you can, I’d say save up your money for a little longer and go for one of their higher end watches (that are still a great value for the price) because that’s where they place all their focus. I wish I had done this and gone with something like the Active 2 instead.I did a lot of research prior to purchasing from Amazfit (Reddit, online articles, YouTube reviews, etc.) and felt that I was getting the exact watch I needed. From the start, I noticed a deep difference in my step count every day from a Casio watch I was wearing and assumed perhaps my Casio was overcounting. What I came to see is that the Amazfit Band 7 doesn’t seem to pick up on regular walking movements around the home, even movements associated with intensive chores around the house. I walk everyday (in addition to daily workouts) and I take the exact same route each time. Some mornings, it tracks at 0.93 miles and other mornings it tracks that exact route at 0.78 miles. So I honestly don’t know which is accurate and what my actual distance is. The Sleep Tracker has only successfully worked a handful of times and otherwise doesn’t work. It says I sleep 3 hours per night. As time has gone on, the watch has stopped picking up that I’m even standing and will prompt me with a message that says “you’ve been sitting for an hour get up” or whatever, BUT I’ve literally been walking around my home… I contacted Customer Support and the onus for fixing this was placed on me. I was told to Restart, to do a Factory Reset (which I will not do because then I will lose all of my data), or finally return the watch for them to look at. I can’t even recommend this as a step tracking watch, because I don’t believe it’s accurate. And now doing further research, it appears Amazfit isn’t supporting these watches anymore with updates or anything. Now I’m stuck with a watch that malfunctions and the burden is on me to either expend the extra effort because the company doesn’t seem to stand by its products or just get over it. I have no choice but to get over it. Perhaps I just got a bad watch, but I wanted to share my experience anyways.

decent watch with some user antagonistic functions
Received this as a gift and have used it for about six months. It’s adequate for some things but has some poorly designed features. It required a factory reset recently due to complete loss of the watch face function and other glitches. The countdown timer is useless. It cannot be set to anything except the screen preset values and will not work in the background, so it has to remain on the screen for the entirety of the countdown. The alarm function does not allow easy deletion of set alarms. The fitness and tracking monitors seem to work well as does the sleep function

Nice watch and functionalities, app a bit hard to read and metrics not always 100% accurate but enough to avoid other brands with subscriptions
