Simple, cheap, and effective.
My old rechargable battery charger died after five years. I bought this and so far I have no complaints. The red or green led displays if the batteries are done charging or not, the instructions warn you against mixing the types of batteries charged, and the charge speed is standard across other brands. I haven’t ran into compatibility issues with other brands batteries, and this was $10 when I purchased which is cheap. Happy customer on this one.

We have several outdoor solar lights around our house so we use this charger every day. It charges any brand even when the batteries are cold and you can add batteries as soon as any 2 get done which speeds up your charging. The only issue we had was our first one quit working just over a year after we got it. We needed a charger so I got an Energizer Pro from Walmart and paid twice as much for it. That charger never fully charges the batteries, all 4 batteries have to get done before you can add more, and it will not charge batteries if they are cold like under 20 degrees. We got fed up and bought a 2nd Amazon Basics charger and it will finish charging the batteries after the energizer says they should be ready. It charges batteries even when cold and you can take a pair out if they get done before the other side. This is a great charger for the price. We just hope this one lasts longer.

Quick charger
Ordered this charger and am very happy with it so far. It charged the batteries between 30-60 minutes and has very clear lights to know that the batteries are still charging. This was an upgrade to a charger that was over ten years old and took hours to charge so I donât know how it compared to more modern chargers, but itâs working great for us. It does feel a little cheap, the plug in could open a little smoother, and the battery holder could be a little bigger. The batteries are very easy to bump out. However, I got it during a sale and accept the faults. It came in a bundle with some triple As so canât really complain. I havenât tried it with batteries that arenât Amazon brand, but it does state to not mix brands so wonât fault it if it doesnât work well

It’s a basic serviceable charger that charges aa and aaa batteries without much drama. I’ve never had an issue with using off brand batteries in it and I do get decent lifespan out of them before they eventually fail, so it seems like the charging function and overcharge protection are fine.The negatives:-flip down plug is annoying and gets looser over time. It will often flip down while trying to plug it in so I have to either leave it in the wall all the time, or come at the outlet from a specific angle that pushes the plug upwards while inserting. It will also randomly fall out of the wall with batteries in it, and my outlet isn’t particularly loose – nothing else I have does this.-blinking light to show issue with batteries doesn’t show which one is bad, so you have to swap batteries a few times to isolate the failed one.-eventually failed by cracking across the battery bay. Still charges batteries but they fall out constantly, so it’s time to replace. Probably failed due to constant tension across that spot when batteries are loaded.That being said I’ve been charging batteries with this thing for more than six years, so it wasn’t a bad buy. I just probably won’t replace with the same unit due to the above issues.
