Good and basic smart plugs
If you have an Alexa in any of her devices, these smart plugs are amazing. It took 30 seconds to set it up and you can have your virtual assistant turning lamps off and on, or running a routine that you design. There are the original Amazon smart plugs, which are kind of expensive, but these Amazon basics are just as good and a bit slimmer than the older models. Not only that, this four pack was on sale during prime days so they were extremely well priced. They came quickly and were packaged well. The ability to connect and function was absolutely perfect. No problems at all.

A simple and reliable way to connect a light to Alexa
My goal was to get four lamps in my home connected to Alexa using voice controls. First I purchased four smart bulbs. The process was complex and required me to download a proprietary app on my phone and even then I had no success pairing the bulbs with Alexa so that I could control my lamps by voice command through Alexa. I returned the so-called smart bulbs and purchased four Amazon Basic smart plugs instead. What a difference! These smart plugs are simple to install and intuitive. You plug them into a wall socket and they pair with Alexa seamlessly. They are designed solely to be used with Alexa and no complicated and unreliable additional software is needed unlike the smart bulbs. Just plug them into a wall socket and they start pairing with your Alexa app and 30 seconds later you are connected. They are a simple, elegant, reliable solution for anyone who wants to control their lighting (and presumably any other electrical device) with Alexa so they have voice control over it. Highly recommended.

Easily connected and not bulky
These are nice. They are not too bulky and were very easy to connect. I’m new to Alexa. It’s been pretty cool to see how easy it was to set this up. I have been having a blast setting my lamps to come on and go off at certain times. The response time is VERY fast (almost instant).

Lights on, lights off
I bought these to control my lamps. They were the turn the knob kind and really were not easy to get to on my nightstand so we got these and now itâs lights on and off with a touch of a button on my phone or telling Alexa to do it for me. I can even be out of town and turn lights on and off if I want. Super cool and easy to use.

Works like a charm. All you have to do is plug it in. Alexa (on your phone) will find it for you and add it. All you have to do is rename it. I set up a routine to turn on and off a particular lamp and it works great. I will buy more of these. No extra apps necessary!
