50 Solimo Ristretto for Original Machine-Compatible Coffee Pods – Good Flavor + Great Value! 🙂
This is my first experience with Solimo Ristretto espresso pods and I am happy with the taste and crema. The coffee is relatively bold and not bitter. The capsules are unique in that they are shaped like original pods, but have a tin foil top and bottom instead of being fully aluminum. These pods seem plastic, but they work surprisingly well. In my tests, there were a few finely ground coffee grounds that were pushed through, but they were not present in every cup and these provide good quality to value. Expiration date was one year away.I initially ordered one hundred and then a few days later ordered another hundred as these are great for a double espresso. No over-caffeinated jitters, nice rich dark color and no strange scent or after-taste. It’s not the *best* coffee, but it’s quick, convenient and good tasting with a nice crema layer (this could vary by machine – mine is authentic). I’d like to rate these 4.5 stars and rounded up to 5 stars. Hope this helps! 🙂

I absolutely loved the Solimo Colombian Medium Roast Coffee K-Cup! The aroma is amazingâyou can smell it even before brewing, and it fills the kitchen with a rich, inviting scent. The taste is smooth and flavorful, with that perfect balance that coffee lovers appreciate. For the price and quality, itâs a great value.Shipping was fast and careful, so everything arrived in perfect condition. Overall, this is a really solid choice for anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee. I would definitely recommend it and will buy it again!

We normally use Peet’s coffee pods, but they are brutally expensive. So we gave these Colombian pods a try. They work in the machine with no issues. The taste is not bad. It’s certainly not as rich and robust as Peet’s, but it’s perfectly drinkable. The caffeine kick is very good. When we brew it, we do press the “Strong” button to squeeze out more flavor, and that seems to make a decent 8-ounce cup. I will order more of these because we don’t always want a super-strong cup of coffee. These are good for your second cup or for an afternoon coffee. Good way to save some money on coffee! We are excited to try the darker blends.Update: We’ve now tried the Dark Roast blend and it’s very good. This is the one we will buy going forward.

French Roast At This Price A Cup? Donât Mind If I Brew
This is the first time that I have purchased this brand of coffee. I am going to be having a get-together in my home, where I will have more than 20 guests and I will be setting up a “coffee station” in the kitchen where people will be able to help themselves throughout the day. I happened to spy this excellent purchase on sale, at a remarkably reasonable price, with next day delivery!It was well packaged (a box, within a box).The date of manufacture and expiration are clearly marked on the box.My pods are fresh, and do not expire for 9 months.Yes, within the box itself there is no sort of attempt at organization.The pods are simply put into a box, and lay in a haphazard manner.So what? It doesnât affect the quality. I did not have one single pod that was broken or misshapen.I did not open the box to find any problems whatsoever.These French roast coffee pods by Solimo work exactly as one would expect and I have had absolutely no difficulty in utilizing them.The lid remains in place throughout the coffee brewing process, my machine punctured the lid dead center. The machine also correctly makes the appropriate hole in the bottom of the pod in the appropriate place.(I have enclosed several photos so folks can get a good close up view of the product).The flavor of this French Roast coffee is good. It is not the best I’ve ever had; it is not extraordinary. It does however produce a dark smoky satisfying cup. Were I not having guests, I would not have purchased 100 of these pods, but they are the perfect solution for my get-together.Finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention that at this price per cup, for French Roast of this quality, this is quite a bargain.Recommendedâ

Fewer grounds. Size matters.
Pods are much smaller than regular pods. Although the pods do fit in Keurig and other Pod-type coffee makers, the Solimo coffee groundsâ weight per pod is a gram less than other pods. Pictures show Columbian coffee: Gevalia v. Solimo.Aside from the darker, richer looking Gevalia, the Solimo is 1 gram less (10 v 9, respectively).100 pods = 100 grams less (3.63 ounces). So, 100 grams less comes out to 11.11 FEWER pods! (100 divided by 9 grams per pod.)So although these pods appear to cost less up front, in reality, Iâm getting >11 fewer pods compared to other brand, while overpaying $4.62 (at $0.42 per pod X 100 podâwhich is actually costing almost $0.47 PER POD not $0.42/pod!! ($4.62/100 ââ=â$0.05).Taste, flavor of these pods is fair.

Lavazza Gran Selezione REPLACEMENT: YESFor everyone looking to replace Lavazza Gran Selezione, give this a try.I really liked the Lavazza Gran Selezione coffee. I have countless boxes of coffee trying to find a replacement.This coffee is like Lavazza Gran Selezione in that it is not bitter at all and is in fact very, very smooth. It does not have the hint of chocolate taste like Lavazza Gran Selezione, but it make up for that by tasting very “clean and fresh”.AND it is very enjoyable black. This is my family’s new coffee.
