Excellent chair mat. Wheels roll perfectly on it without sinking into the plastic.
I had purchased a different mat from a different mat earlier which I had to return because it was too malleable and the wheels of my chair sank into it and I couldn’t roll around easily. Also the other one came in a roll and even though I flattened it, it still had a tendency to curl at the edges.This mat is made of a hard plastic and is stiff. It doesn’t curl up. The wheels roll perfectly on it.NOTE: This mat is the 48″x36″ which SHIPS FLAT. I noticed that this seller also sells mats that ship rolled up. I can’t speak about those and some of the reviews that other have left sound like they may have been intended for the rolled up ones. This one that ships flat is the one you want to get!I was so satisfied with this one, that I purchased a second one for a different desk.

Actually made this purchase to use as a base for two of our bird cages. Makes for a fast and efficient clean up of the seeds that fall out.This way we could place them in the living room on the carpet.

I already threw away two office mats similar to this one. They do not last when they are intensively bothered by chair wheels. When I saw this one, I mistakenly jumped on its alleged thickness described on the product page as 0.2. I naively thought it would be thicker than previous ones which were 0.09. But it is not, it is about the same and actually softer than those I had. Maybe that is good, because the previous ones just cracked, and pieces were jumping out. It looks like this one rather likes to bend. Unrolling was easy and a trick from the accompanying manual to use hair dryer helped. However, it took a while to fully unroll. One side of the mat which is not covered by desk legs is still trying to bubble out. It is a little stubborn piece of a thing. But I am afraid that nothing better is available.

Poor quality, fails all around
I bought this for my wood laminate floor which is being damaged by the office chair my daughter uses for gaming at the desk in the living room.It arrived on time and despite is being warm when I unrolled, due to 100 degree heat, it did not want to stay unrolled. I then rolled it up the opposite direction, per the directions, and laid flat on the floor. There was no apparent âsticky sideâ and even an extra texture on one side was very hard to discern. I placed heavy books around the edges and left it for 24 hours, hoping it would flatten.I was disappointed that it still would not lay flat, as promised. In the end, it looked mostly flat but I trip over the edge a lot. Likewise, the narrow part meant to go under the desk does not stay flat. I have tried to tuck it under the edges of the drawers, but this doesnât remedy the problem as the WORST PROBLEM is how the mat slides around as the chair is moved and even wrinkles up. It will not stay put as my kid rolls back and forth (a little) in the chair and scrunches up at the narrow part under the desk.â The only way it may be described as effective is to say, it is a cover for the floor which does keep the wheels of the chair off the floor, if my kid is careful to not roll off the edge of the askew mat. But it does not live up to its description.

I had it a week ish so far. It has been great, doesnt look like it is going to fail anytime soon. Didn’t come rolled up and that made it so easy to install. Love it, worth it, buy it.

Just what I needed. Rigid, Sturdy, Strong!
I have medium pile shag-like carpeting in a rental unit. I did not like the sound of the reviews in so many of the chair mats that ship rolled-up. I saw cracking, peeling, and curling up as the main issues. This one does NONE of that. It came flat (a bit of a pain for the mailman) and I am so thankful! It does not bend, it does not curl, it does not crack. It stays put. It is large enough for me to roll over in my large L-shaped desk setup. I’d buy it again in a heart-beat. Well worth the price!
