Much better than pipe cleaners
I’m very, very happy with my Wrap-A-Locs! They create beautiful spiral curls on my SLs, and they’re so easy to use even I can do it. And, they’re a much gentler option than pipe cleaners, with which I have only ever set my hair twice because I get so impatient taking them out that I felt like it pulled and damaged it. Not so with the Wrap-A-Locs. Just unbend them at the end, and even though they have a slight “grip” to them to hold the hair in place, they are still smooth enough to slide right out, leaving a perfectly formed spiral curl. Lately my routine is to set my hair at night, sleep in them, wear the following day and take them out the morning of the second day. I love that they can stay in your hair, staying virtually unseen and you can bend them into different shapes, creating even more style options. The only CON I can think of is that I wish they came in at least a couple of other colors. They only come in black and it makes them a little more difficult to conceal if your hair is a lighter color, like mine is. The curls can be as tight as you want them to be, and they gradually fall as you wear them over several days. I wash my hair long before the curl is gone. My SLs are now pretty long – in the back they easily reach between my shoulder blades – so it’s nice to have the option of having a short, cool, curly style in the summer without actually cutting my hair.I recently met the inventor, Sistah Nandi, at a hair show, and she could not have been more gracious and helpful. I use two whole packs of the medium size, and I had planned to buy a pack of small to better capture the shorter locs that frame my face. Instead of just trying to make the sale – and at $25 for a pack of 20 they ain’t cheap, folks! – she demonstrated to me (on my own head) how to work with the size I already had. So not only has she created a great product, I really appreciate her integrity.Wrap-A-Locs are a great addition to my hair styling tool chest.

Too expensive
Does a great job curling the hair, however I can definitely use other ways to curl my locs without paying such a absorbent price. It probably cost less than $2.00 to make, but cost us $20-$25 which is a bit much. I can actually use those old school pink sponge rollers or rods and I can achieve the same awesome curls. I won’t purchase again. Too expensive. They should consider lowering the price, $10.00 is much more reasonable.

Great product!
All in all this a great product. This tool created very curly lasting locs but if you want to do the cute roller hair styles make sure you her the longer wrap a loc sets. My hair goes to my shoulders and I got a pack of the medium and a pack of the smalls. They made the roller really fat at bulblus. Not cute. So get the longer ones for longer hair. Also of you have 300 or more locs it’s a good idea to get 3 or for packs so you don’t have to group them and curl them bulkily. I ran out of the rods before I was finished my head and and had to supplement with pipe cleaners to finish. Finally make sure you don’t fasten them too tight or it will pull at your scalp, making it hard to sleep.

Very good product
I was able to use ONE pack of medium for mylow density hair. I have 370 locks and I kinda very randomly rolled my hair while water spritzing . I know it’s gonna turn out great! The tool leaves no pipe cleaner fuzz and is easy to remove . The random rolling was super easy. I have not been able to do pipe cleaners. … too confusing for me to remove . Yes it is a $$ investment.However it’s *Wrap a loc* for the WIN!!No regurts!

Curls really pop!
These are great for curling locs! My hair has micro locs and the curls were so tight and pretty and lasted almost a full week with me working out 3 days a week! The product is easy to use but if you have thick hair you will need more than 1 pack to do an entire head of locs. Not good for thick locs.
