Almost perfect – why do I need a focus knob?
In the video I show mounting the camera on the gimbal, itâs a little tricky getting it placed just right so it rotates correctly. (iPhone 15 Pro Max) in some positions the case or camera lense touches the gimbal arm. Just a little more room would have been nice. And the camera needs to be centered or landscape is unbalanced.The blue camera shows a different mount that presses the side buttons. This gimbal has space so when it grips the phone securely without pressing buttons on the phone.You must use the software they provide to use the gimbal. The software provides many features not accessible with Apples camera software.I like the button to switch between portrait and landscape. But switching from photo to video and back doesnât have a button. You must use the control on the phone screen or the hand gesture.Some settings can be changed using hand gestures, this is nice when working in front of the camera.My biggest issue is the giant focus knob. I find myself bumping this often and getting my photos out of focus. There should be some way to disable this function. If there is I havenât found it.Other than the focus knob, itâs easy to use and Iâve gotten used to the main functions quickly. I really like it, except for the focus knob.

I bought this for high quality blogging. It is very nice quality, sturdy and has a nice appearance to it. I seriously wanted to love it and keep it. I can’t judge the battery life since I returned it hours after it was delivered but it arrived to me 70% charged. It’s not too light and not too heavy. You can tell it was made with quality in mind.While it was simple and straightforward to use, it doesn’t allow ‘Tracking’ while in 4K or 1080p for 60 FPS, on a Samsung S23 or S20+ 5G. Both phones have 4k capabilities and one is 8k BTW.Furthermore, cannot use ‘Tracking’ outside of the ‘Gimbal App’ either, which is not the best quality.I don’t feel like this item is great value for my money. If it’s only going to be limited to Android phones that were released last year (like 1-3 models) and for iPhone 11-15, might as well just advertise it as a Apple product so us Samsung users know not to waste our money. I ended up purchasing a different Gimbal off Tiktok that had the AI smart Tracking Thingamajig that you clip onto your phone that makes all smart phones compatible with it. For the price I purchased the Gimbal off Amazon, you’d of thought it had that built-in! Make sure you check out the reviews or use Rufus to determine if your phone is compatible!

This is a fun little tool, and it does work well.It does work best though once the app is installed on the phone and your phone is connected via bluetooth.The control setup is decent and everything is controlled with the right thumb, the build is orientated around the right hand, although if you have to you can function with a little stretching with the left hand.Since there is only one thumb joystick that functions by number of presses, this is something you will need to check in the manual, and if you do not use this often you might forget what 1,2,3 presses do.But that is simply the result of making a device that has a simplified interface.The whole device works fairly well and with face, body or object recognition it does work well, so long as you do not move to fast, I find with fast movement it will not respond quickly enough but with moderate movement it can track well.The led light that comes with is OK, the lighting is fine and it has a range of colours, but if you want white and you accidentally skip past, you will need to scroll through all the colours to get back to it.The Extension and tripod are separate but pretty decent, although I would prefer if the tripod was big, I worry that a strong breeze could overwhelm it.The quality of everything in the set is great everything feels like it should handle regular use and keep going. I am very happy with the build quality, it is not amazing but it is very good.I do like the storage bag, it is nicely padded and everything has its place and nothing will be slipping away.I have not had any other gimbal before to I am unable to compare this to anything else.Overall though, this is quite nice, it has a decent response to my actions, the movement is smooth and the software is easy to use and not cumbersome. The whole setup feels geared to getting the job done without any fuss.
