This Memory saver worked perfect I simply attach it to a small cheap 12 volt lithium battery and plug it into the obd port and that has worked great for me so far. the cord length is plenty sufficient to allow you to keep the battery outside of the vehicle. It has a green light that lets you know when it is working properly so that makes it simple to use. Compared to others with an internal battery this was a way more budget friendly way for me to go.

Nice to have when you have to remove your battery or if doing work on your vehicle
For me this thing has been a game changer because I have a stereo system that is constantly being tweaked and twisted and tried to made better by adding new components or just setting it up differently and I’m always afraid of burning up something so I always undo my battery cables and then hook them back up when finished onlyto get the unpleasant opportunity to listen to my Jeep go through a relearning process where it doesn’t idle right for a few miles and the gas mileage is bad and all the other downsides that come along with unhooking your battery and then hooking it back up, well this device has really helped me overcome this issue. It’s very easy to use and easy to install by just hooking it to a 12 volt source and it retains the information and then send it back to your computer a vehicle when you are hooked back up again and it remembers everything as it was before you did unhook the battery. It is built of some good quality wires and clips and I have not had a problem with it not doing its job yet like it’s supposed to. It has been a great addition to my car audio endeavora.END RESULT: if you are like me and you have to undo your car battery multiple times throughout the month it’s a good thing to have to keep everything on track and in line with your cars computer and keep it running like it should be. It’s a good product

Useful device for car battery changes
In the past I had to swap car batteries a few times but never had a device like that. With cars relying on electronics more and more these days I thought having something that can assure uninterrupted power while swapping the battery would be a plus. It would also be useful when working on your car and you need to disconnect the battery for some time. I might have to do it soon for one of our vehicles, so I ordered it ahead of time. The tool appears to be well made with nice durable plastic and adequate clamps to attach it to the backup battery. The length of the cables is good too, allowing for more flexibility while in use. I checked the fit with the OBD port on one of our cars and it fits perfectly and stays there securely â no need to worry it might accidentally gets disconnected. Overall, I like the device and am happy I ordered it.

Big Time Saver From Resetting Everything.
So many times I had to reset everything from clock to radio stations, to the absolute worst, having the codes in cars computer cleared and not being able to pass vehicles emissions test until reestablished. This little device helps save you from all those annoying hassles simply by plugging this into your OBD2 port and to battery power. You will be thankful the first time you use it, of make sure your mechanic uses it for you by not getting your car back needing everything reset.

It Works. Could Have More Features
This works to retain memory for settings, but you need another battery or power source. The cables are long enough to reach wherever you may need it to. Unsure if this is a knock off or real Autel brand. It came in an unlabled bag with Autel branded instructions. It’d be nicer if it had accessories for a power outlet adapter for jump packs or plugging into another power source. A small included/rechargeable on board power source would also be a wecolme addition. For what you pay you’re getting a good quality, but basic memory saver.
