Amazing earbuds! Quality sound and noise cancellation, great for working out, BEST EARBUDS IâVE HAD!
Let me start by saying I LOVE these earbuds! They are so comfortable, the sound quality is amazing, and they block out all kinds of noises without having to turn the volume up super high. I also appreciate how well they stay in when Iâm working out or itâs raining outside. Another pro is that these earbuds are sooo much cheaper and better quality than AirPods! My official list of pros and cons would be as follows.Pros- sound quality is awesomeyou can hear all the instruments and vocals clearly and there is even a setting for extra bass which is super cool!- great fitthese stay in my ears throughout all kinds of weather (rain, wind) and when Iâm working outthe earbuds come with multiple little rubber pieces to make sure they fit perfectly. earbuds are often too big for me but these worked really great- noise cancellationeven when the volume is relatively low, around 3 to 5, all sound is blocked out! perfect for studying or trying to relax in a busy environment. one problem Iâve found with other earbuds is that they block out sound but other people can hear my music through my earbuds. i havenât faced that problem at all with the back bay tempo 30s!- battery lifethese last so long off of one charge. Iâve had all kinds of earbuds including AirPods, and none have lasted as long as these!you can charge the case super quickly and then charge the earbuds in the case for hours which is really convientCons- charging cordif I had to be super critical, I would say I am a little disappointed with how short the cord is and that it canât be charged with a normal cord- tapping commandsto get the earbuds to do certain commands like pausing the music, making it louder, etc. you have to tap the side of the earbuds. this can be irritating because there are a lot of commands to remember and sometimes it doesnât always work. i wish there was another button or something else to make it easier because it can be annoying and finicky trying to figure it outWell, that was my list of pros and cons for the Back Bay Tempo 30 Earbuds! If you are still on the fence about getting these, I would say go ahead and do it. They are much cheaper (cost wise) then other brands like AirPods, but have some of the best sound and noise cancellation quality of any earbuds or headphones Iâve had. They look really sleek, are great for working out, and I havenât had any issues with connectivity or sound! I can say Iâm more than happy with my purchase! 🙂

So little money, so much benefit!
They came very promptly. I do consider myself a bit of an audiophile, maybe because I have always had much better earring than the average person and was hesitant to get any product that didn’t give me top-notch acoustics. Having said that, this is my first pair of earbuds – and why I went for lower priced ones as I first as I wanted them mostly for phone use. I also have small ears.On my laptop I’ve been using over the ear Bose QC II headphones for about 10 years…sometimes not even needing the ANC feature if environment is quiet. Now to the Back Bay Tempo 30s. First – they cost a little over $50.00 with tax. They are easy to charge, and very easy to pair to my Samsung Galaxy S9+. I opted for the rose gold ones, which are for smaller ears and nice. The smallest silicon already on the buds made for a good fit for my ears, and I was impressed that they felt secure and not like they were going to fall out.Phone calls – first test was in a quiet environment. I called a business number I’m familiar with and then apologized for calling a wrong number. I had the buds at about 40% volume, and was stunned at how loud and clear the other party came in. I turned them down a bit. When I said “Sorry, wrong number,” the person on other end had no trouble hearing me.Going to music and videos. I have some favorites I use to test different aspects of sound quality and have eclectic taste in music – from acapello groups like Pentatonix and Home Free, to select Disturbed’s songs, pop-opera like Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Laura Pausini and even some popular Broadway musicals like Elaine Paige’s “Memory,” for testing. I like to hear the bass, not overpowering but clearly to my bones. It was one reason that I chose the Tempo 30’s, as everyone raved about “Bass mode.”After listening to one or two songs, I did like Bass mode better. Turning up the volume to hear better bass wasn’t always necessary (I heard it well at about 30%), but I did find that wanting to hear the bass was sometimes at odds with causing some sibilance at higher notes. For example in a review of “Rings of Fire” by the acapello group Homefree, I turned up the audio to hear the song and their bass – but then had to turn the volume down quickly at higher pitched voices because high pitched voices hurt my ears. While listening to Disturbed’s Sound of Silence video, I needed to turn the whole video down to about 20% for it not to cause me discomfort, and at that level the “extra” bass effect is pretty much negated. The last song I tested was “Vivo per Lei” by Bocelli and Pausini. I could hear them both well and was comfortable at 30% volume, which is pretty impressive.I also noticed some video lag over the bluetooth connection. I’m sensitive to audio delay and the need for lip synchronization, and will also look for this to be corrected. Turning on “movie mode” in the Tempo 30’s seemed for the most part to solve that problem. Using movie mode also seemed to help divide, clarify, and simultaneously help the balance playing from left to right earbud, and vice versa.Edit: Added bonuses, while at work and on my feet – if I happen to walk away from my phone which I’ve set on a table, I hear “disconnected” from the earpods, which is great and helps from losing my phone. Also, since I often work in outdoors – parties can hear me better with one earpod in then when I use my smartphone put up to my ear.So – wow. For $50.00 these are pretty great. A lot of value in a small package. I can’t wait to see and hear everything that this company is able to accomplish.

So far so good. Sound is awesome and the bass boost is great, really adds a ‘punch’ to the bass. Buds are small and don’t protrude from the ears which makes them very stable and the 6 different sizes/styles of tips make customizing the fit very easy. I always seem to have a problem getting buds that fit comfortably but so far, (knock on wood) these are great. The case is actually aluminum not plastic and very small and comfortable in the pocket. The charging indicator is a series of 4 led’s not a single led which, in my mind, makes it easier to tell how the charge is. Also it says in the instrutions that the case can be left plugged indefinitely so I don’t have to remember to plug it in to charge it. A small thing yes but still a thing. If anything changes in the next couple of days, I’ll post back with an edit.**edit**Couple days later and I’m still impressed. Only thing is I had to change the earpieces to a foam style which is my preference nothing to do with the actual bud itself. You have to remember to touch the bud in the middle to change settings but that’s nothing, just a matter of getting used to it. I still think it’s an extremely good deal considering the sound and comfort.

I ordered these after trying a Million different styles and brands, beats, air pods, JBL, skull candy and various off brand ones. These are the PERFECT headphones for physical activity. I run, I lift weights and I have tiny ears. All headphones have fallen out while running, causing them to break. But not these, the colour is so cute, they fit perfect, and because if the fit I have less background nose. The calls work amazing, and the sound is phenomenal. I can’t hear anyone at the gym (unless they drop something LOUD). The sound is amazingly rich, and smooth. If I was to provide a suggestion, it would be for the ability to customize sound like bass, I got these on sale for 50 and totally worth it, but if I was to pay full price I’d ask for that! Overall, amazing, chefs kiss!

These little earbuds have quite literally been a lifesaver. I have two problems – Misophonia (sever aversion to sound that affects me on a visceral level) and sensory issues that make wearing earbuds extremely painful.Recently, I’ve unfortunately come into a situation with a neighbour which requires me to play background noise to block the offending sound pretty much 24/7 while in my home. My ear canals are so absurdly small and narrow, nothing would fit comfortably. But these… THESE give you the following:- All day comfort- Amazing battery life- INCREDIBLE sound for the price point- Can block just about any sound- NO sharp or jagged edges- RIDICULOUS connectivity. In a good way. I can leave my phone two rooms away with zero interruptions.Absolutely holy grail product for the sensitive neurodivergent person who needs a break from on-ear phonesEven if you think you can’t wear earbuds, TRY THESE ONES
