Work well to keep soil moist and plants healthy; better than wine bottle system
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love these ollas. They keep my vegetables and flowers healthier. The rubber stoppers fit the container well. I find it best to refill them every 2 to 3 days, in addition to some normal watering of my large garden pots. I don’t mind refilling… it means the product is doing it’s job. I have been using wine bottles with the clay wine bottle tubes you place in the soil. Ollas are a game changer. I put a couple of wine bottle in a few pots, and ollas in the others. The ollas are always empty, and the wine bottles full of water.  Identical soil. I live in southern MN. Mostly 80s, but some 90s, 100 degree days.

An affordable and well made olla
Great quality for the price. Ordered 6 in total and all arrived in good condition. The way I plan to use these is in grow bags with peppers and cucumbers to get water down to the roots once the plant matures. I live in the desert so encouraging deeper root growth helps the plants not dry up during the summer. So far I have noticed that the water seems mostly gone from the olla after a day or so. They are a good size and I think they hold a fair bit of water. I also hand water with fertilizer once weekly so the soil hasn’t had a chance to dry out too much. We’ll see how they perform over the growing season. Overall, I think this will do a good job of getting the water deeper into the grow bag.

Largest watering pot for the price.
I did a lot of looking and searching before I purchased these watering pots. Things you need to consider before you decide on which one’s you need are the size of the the pot you are putting them in and how much the plant you are watering uses. Some plants need more water than others, if you are an experienced gardener forgive me for stating the obvious. For my needs these have worked very well. They say they will water up to a week, again that depends on your plants and the weather if using outdoors. I use mine outdoors in tomatoes and cucumbers and have had to fill them twice weekly. I live in Oklahoma so I know in July and August the temperature will rise to triple digits from time to time and I will have to fill them more often but that being said I still think they will be a game changer for the health of my plants in those high heat conditions. I chose these aftering comparing many different types, the shape, the amount they hold, and price. These hold 23.67 oz (700ml) I found this to be the best and largest for the price and so far have been very pleased. I hope this helps in your search for watering needs. Happy gardening!!

Delivers Sustenance to Your Root Systems Without the Need to Over-Water!
I first became aware of the concept of slow-drip terra cotta systems from a documentary about a zero-footprint property with a subsistance garden in arid north L.A. When I set up a raised bed for tomatoes on a south-facing slope, I embedded three of these alongside three tomato plants.Knowing the growing root networks for my plants are addressed below the surface has provided me confidence amid a summer with record-breaking heat. This provides a level of plant support between early morning and late evening watering that keeps our plants from being overwatered. Not only is this a great win for ecological watering, itâs a means of addressing the whole plant. That my plants are growing a great volume of fruit is no coincidence. These allow me to gauge just how much additional water my plants need without overwatering âjust in case.â The bonus is if you cannot water for a day or so, you can feel good about the roots being fed in a measured, responsible manner.Donât hesitate to get these!

Great product – 4 stars because minor improvement recommended.
I love Back to Roots products. I gave this a 4 star just because I have bought other brands and like their design better. Does this do everything it is supposed to YES. The size is great for any garden boxes. The other brand has a line that goes over and in the top. Where this is a cork that goes in. I do not like this because if there is dirt around it is not as helpful for keeping the dirt out since it does not go over the opening. In all, this is a great product but now that I know more I do see an improvement.

WORKS GREAT
THE BEST THING for plants. I have been using these for about three weeks now in my planters. my plants have never been happier! I had doubts this would work but when I looked inside the pots, they were almost empty after two weeks! need to get more for sure! Fun fact; They looked very nice in the ground as well, especially if you have a Spanish style home.

Love these!!
Added them to our garden this year and itâs been a game changer on watering and crop production! Super easy to use and they are quality pots. This size, I was able to use 3 pots in an 8×4 raised garden bed and everything is thriving. Highly recommended!

I love them!
I love these. They’ve worked out really well for me. It’s so nice to be able to water 1 or 2 times a week instead of every single day, and I use so much less water but my plants are more consistently watered!
