Great design!
Very easy assembly, just the handle and knob. It’s the perfect size to use in the kitchen, after meals we take it to the outside compost. We have forgotten and left stuff in it for a few days, never had a bad odor in the house (until you open the lid). Never had any fruit flies or nats. It’s coated, so super easy to clean out. It comes with an extra filter for the lid. We have been using this for several months and it still looks brand new. Love the style, looks great sitting out, no one would think it’s holding egg shells and onion peels! HA HA

The best compost pail: the most beautiful and perfect in every way
Looks so beautiful on my Cambria Fairbourne Quartz countertop against the same quartz backsplash. So much so that it looks like it could be an accessory (from Cambria).It is not only stylish, but extremely well made.I’ve had a lot of countertop indoor compost pails, but they all pale (pun intended) in comparison to this one.The not one but two thick charcoal filters are an added bonus. There’s a slot in the top where they fit snuggly.The wood accents, knob on top, handle, are well made.It’s rust proof and mine appears to be, fruit fly proof. Perhaps it’s because the lid fits tightly, but not too tight that it’s a struggle to remove (one review commented: ” The only negative I have is the lid can be difficult to get off,”).Well, I guess that has to do with one’ s fingers/wrist strength, because it comes off the way you would want it to, for a compost pail-you want a tight fit! Almost like it’s sealed. Hopefully the manufacturers won’t take that review to heart and change anything.I can’t say enough positive things about this compost pail!It’s beauitful and looks just like it does in the picture on amazon.

Zero odor
If you are like me, you are worried about the smell. Well, let me assure you, I have put some things in there and straight up forgot about them, never smelled a thing. Like, I forgot and left for a week, came back and its fine. Works like a champ, good sized, and looks nice in the kitchen. THE ONLY ISSUE is that kids seem to think its a cookie jar. They open it up looking for oreos and get blasted with rotting parsley and apple cores. For me, this is an added bonus and I laugh every time, but for some, they may not like it. My daughter forgot and it got her twice, priceless.

I’ve had this for a couple of weeks and it’s really nice looking on the counter. I had a similar one but it rusted and I appreciate that this is rust resistant. The other great thing about this particular product is food doesn’t stick to the inside of the can which was a huge problem with my last bin. Color is very nice, the product is very well made. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Does what itâs supposed to do. Easy to clean, so far no smell, although we donât try to compost on the counter (we regularly empty into compost bin). So far finish is good and holds up. Would recommend.
