Great for telemedicine and saving trips to urgent care for kids
This product is great, especially for telemedicine. I use it to take pictures inside my kids ears whenever they get an ear infection. You can upload the picture or video to the doctors mailbox so that they can view it while you’re having your video appointment. Saved a trip to the urgent care, and the $80 copay, which paid for the camera the first time I used it. I used it a few other times for ear wax but it’s not really necessary that often, just great for taking pics to sen to the doctor. Also works on nose and throat.

Great tool, great price
This is a great tool at a great price. It is easy to use and comes with useful attachments.Please be warned great caution should be used. Putting a thin metal tube in your ear can cause mild to serious damage if not done properly. However, the same thing can be said about q-tips.I had a 1/2″ long hair piece (from a hair cut) get stuck against my eardrum causing lingering pain. My primary care doctor couldn’t even see it with a traditional otoscope, but I was able to view it and extract it with the micro qtip attachment.This sure beats going to urgent care or waiting a month to see a ENT specialist. Also it can be very useful for general viewing of wax buildup.Only downside is that it uses wifi to connect and you can’t use the Internet on your phone while it is in use. However, wifi is needed to do higher quality video since Bluetooth doesn’t have the bandwidth (especially on older devices).

I purchased this item after careful research online. I am a retired physician, but not an ENT specialist. I bought it because I have several grandchildren and one member of my family developed ear problems and I wanted to keep track of them.Overall, the unit works well. It is easy to turn on and connect to the phone. The light is strong and the image is very good. It can be tricky orienting oneself right/left and up/down. It can also be a bit tough to watch the screen while looking in someone else’s earBe aware that your phone may detect that there is no internet connection from the Bebird wifi signal and seek to use the carrier connection to stay online. In that case, you might not be able to make a connection between the unit and your phone. I dealt with this by turning on Airplane mode. Just don’t forget to turn it off again later.Having said all this, I want to emphasize that I do not recommend using this or any device like it for actual wax removal. I personally use it only for viewing. I do not use the instruments except for the speculum, which helps view the ear with less risk of injuring delicate tissue.The ear canal contains just about the thinnest skin on the body and it is easily injured by a foreign object. I can almost guarantee that continued use of the tools will cause you trouble. In addition, you are bound to find some wax. I don’t recommend its removal if it is not affecting your hearing. Wax serves an important role in the healthy ear and the normal ear slowly dislodges the wax itself. I don’t recommend literally “looking for trouble”.If you wish to be able to look in your own ear or your family’s and then be able to refer or report to a qualified caregiver, this is a good item to have. Meanwhile, put nothing smaller than your elbow in your ear canal. Old advice and still true.

Love this product
Such an awesome product. I love being able to use the camera to clean my ears, instead of just shoving a qtip in there and hoping for the best. There’s lots of different sizes, so it functions great depending on what you need. Super lightweight and easy to travel with. Prevents painful qtip mishaps and my ears have never felt cleaner. I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and it’s still like brand new. Battery life is pretty good, but it will not give you a lot of warning time for a low battery, so make sure to charge it up before use so you don’t end up halfway done with a dead battery. Connects to the bluetooth on my phone very easily.

This works great, a little tricky to navigate the ear canal at first as a first time user, but once I got the hang of it I was able to clean my ears out very easily. I love being able to see what Iâm doing rather than going by feel alone!
