Good starter set for light to medium home needs (do not use for heavy carpentry work)
I work in construction and am a trade professional. This set is not for day to day heavy construction use, but it’s perfect for home use or light to medium use a few times a week. There’s nothing fancy, special or outstanding features in this product. But it’s consistent, has a good starter set that will handle 80 to 90 percent of your assembly and home construction needs and is perfect for let’s say an elderly person, stay at home parent, office business professional that hangs pictures or assembles their own furniture, so on and so forth. I would never use this for rough in framing or trying to drill in tap cons for a deck ledger board. I originally thought this was a defect but I have two of these now and it’s simply how it’s made but the drill makes a rattling noise if you shake it fast. Sounds like something is broken off inside and moving around. It’s not it’s just the design. You will not get enough torque on this drill to handle heavy projects so just ensure you are picking the right product for the right job.That being said the price and amount of accessories you get is top notch. Greater starter set for basic needs. Keyword basic, if you have to hang drywall, do framing or carpentry work this is not the set for you.The drill will also not last as long in the elements ie mud water rain or outside use. But for the price, ease of use, ease of accessibility and I did check on the manufacturer warranty and black and decker sent me a free drill no cost when i reported the rattling noise in the drill. Both drills make the same noise and I guess no one reported this issue previously. However, the fact that they cared enough to actually look into it, just took my feedback at face value and cared enough to try to make it right does mean a lot to me. It’s not just the product it’s the people behind the product. I know black and decker and other companies have been getting bad customer feedback as of late but my experience overall was positive. Also, you get what you pay for. You will never get a 500 dollar drill in a 80 to 100 dollar set that comes with a battery, charger and all the ancillary add ons. So long as your expectations are realistic this is a good starter set for home use. My mom has arthritis and most drills are too heavy for her, this drill is still too heavy for as well, albeit she has an easier time using this one occasionally then in comparison to my professional construction tools. I hope one day that they make tools that are easier to manage for people who may not have the hand strength to use them properly.I really wish amazon had .5 options because I am torn between giving this a 4 or a 5. If I factor in cost and common sense IE my expectations match reality this is a 4.5 to 5 purchase if you are grading it as just a tool for construction use it’s a 4 at most.Either way even if you don’t like it contact black and decker as they will likely try to make it right unless you opt to return it.

Good for small home projects and all-in-one kit. I don’t usually do a lot of things that require tools but this gets the job done without worrying if you have the right bit or not. The charge lasts a long time; I’ve used this for 3 little projects and it is still on one charge. The size is good for people with small hands like me as well which is nice.

Everyone uses Dewalt for some reason I don’t get it personally all I know is it is pricey and I cannot afford that this was cheap enough for me and it works great it’s got stamina and power and the batteries last a long time I haven’t had to charge my battery in months now and it’s still going. I bought extra batteries thinking I’d need them but I don’t all you need is 1 battery it will last a lifetime. I give this drill 5* cause it is the best for what it can do. A great product by Black & Decker!

I recently separated and moved on my own. This kit has everything I need to drill and have used it many times. My teenage daughter loves using it too and we have been assembling all kinds of furniture in the new house. Very happy with it.
