Great versatile drill driver
Recently injured my risk, as I recover, I did want to risk reinjuring it so I bought this drill. It has great power and due to the anti-kickback feature gives me piece of mind that my risk will not take the brunt of any impact while drilling and therefore, risk reinjuring myself. I love that it also can transform into multiple tools by simply removing the head attachments and adding what you need for a particular scenario. I have recently started building cabinets (Thanks to high prices) and this drill has help me get into tight spots using the offset attachment. I should mention that I own the 12v version of this drill. I was hoping that the attachments for the 12v would be interchangeable with the 18v, specifically the hammer drill attachment I purchased for the 12v. They are not. Now if I want a hammer driver for the more powerful 18v drill/driver, I need to purchase it at additional cost. Otherwise this drill is super awesome and very versatile as mentioned above.

What is the correct battery count?
The drill/driver is excellent. The battery count information is confusing: The box in which the items are packaged by Bosch states that there are two batteries within, although there is, in fact, only one … as the website states.

Good quality but not light.
This is a good quality drill/driver set that is well constructed and obviously tough enough to use on a jobsite. As such, it may be overkill for the average homeowner who wants a spare drill for casual tasks. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.The batteries have to be the heaviest batteries of their power rating that I have ever encountered. That may be a good sign for their longevity as they seem to be very well constructed. The charger is easy to use and the batteries charge easily. However, their weight means that they are not light when mounted on the drill.The drill itself is well made. Strong handle with solid grip that gives sufficient friction. The trigger is easy to control. There’s a power indicator light and control strip at the base of the unit, as well as a set of switches on top that allow you to change the settings. The brushless motor is very smooth and offers a lot of torque.In operation this is a heavy drill. I have several others from different manufacturers that are significantly lighter. You might not notice it if you are drilling into concrete floors, but up on a ladder installing security cameras or gutters it will make a difference. Plenty of power for all of the jobs that I have tackled.I’d like to see rubber protection on the outside of the battery just in case of drops. Otherwise there is not much to dislike. The main issue is whether you need a drill of this weight, power, and construction quality.

hex collets don’t hold bits well
I really want to like this flexiclick drill but a few things didn’t meet my expectation:1. Both the built-in hex and the offset hex collets don’t hold drill bits well. I tried bits/bit holders from different brands, half of the bits can be easily pulled out of both collets, some with only two fingers. I understand the bits themselves may be machined slightly differently but the tolerance of these collets is very unforgiving. I doubt this is a one-off issue. It’d be beyond me if Bosch somehow designed it that way. Their 12v flexiclick does NOT have that problem at all.2. The drill heats up a bit quickly. I don’t know if it is trying to dissipate heat quicker but just 3 or 4 screws in the thing will start to spit heat from the vents.3. The rubber on the grip isn’t all that grippy.The good things about this drill are the sensitive kick back control, and the smooth operation, although I wish it delivered the true 800 nm of torque as the model number suggests.I bought the drill in 2025, the drill came with a serial number with 2023 in it. I wonder if they sent me one from the 1st production batch that may still have bugs in them. I returned when Amazon still allowed me to, really can’t stand the collet issue.

Shocking Surprise: Received a Used Drill Instead of New Gift!
I purchased this as a gift for my brother, hoping it would be something special. Unfortunately, when he opened the package, it contained an old, used drill instead of the correct item. This was very disappointing and not what I expected from this purchase. It completely took away from what should have been a happy moment.
