Lovely shade of lipstick
Colour truly cute and as shown on the product colour indicator. This shade is not easily found in the market as it’s a matte dark orange which i was searching for a long time ago. Also it would be nice to combine the lipstick with a brown lipliner to show it more. Recommend this lipstick but only problem is that it’s not waterproof so i need to reapply after eating and before drinking as it would stick on the cup. Other than that it’s perfect colour and texture. The lipstick case and design also a plus and remind me of the 40s lipsticks lol. The cup is magnetic to the lipstick body and nicely clicked and closed.

These lipsticks are unscented!!!
I have no problem with scented lipsticks but finding ones unscented are very hard. Not only are these unscented, they are also full of pigment.I bought the Summer Palace trio of 138, 139, & 140. The set comes in a magnetic-flapped box which is perfect for gift giving or just reusing for your jewelry or knick-knacks. Each lipstick is is housed in a magnetic case, easy to pull off the cap for arthritic hands yet they stay on when you put them in your purse.From the pictures, I couldn’t wait to use them, so they are a bit smeared. They did come unused. I was just too excited and forgot to take pictures!The intricate design of the lipsticks makes it painful to even use. They are so beautiful!The colors are from the red family. 138 is a neutral rich red; 139 is a wine red; and 140 is a terracotta red.They may look dark but they aren’t, they are just rich with pigment. These are lipsticks that deserve the most attention on your face, the focal point. With these lipsticks, a simple eye look of nude eyeshadow and mascara and a touch of soft blush completes the look.The texture is lightweight and matte. When you think matte, you may think drying but these aren’t. By lightweight, think of the hip brand with the initials PM or ND. Even though those brands have pigmented lipsticks, they can feel dry and thick. Amazing and Incredibly Thoughtful— Treat yourself!!!
I love this brand. My first time trying anything by them even though it’s been in my cart for the longest time. It went on sale and I decided to treat myself to this piece of art. Well worth it!There are a few reasons I love it;1) Thoughtful packaging.One of the most annoying things when shopping online is when a company doesn’t take the proper steps to ensuring their product arrives to you in perfect condition. Yeah, it is partly Amazon’s job, but from the company to Amazon, that’s their reputation as a company for ensuring quality. The lipstick arrived in a beautifully designed box, and when you opened it there’s a thin layer of cardboard surrounding the actual lipstick. It was the first time I’ve seen it, and it really made me appreciate the company’s thoughtfulness.2) Every part of the product is beautiful. From packaging to lipstick canister… it’s a work of art. I know their mission is blending beauty with traditional Chinese art/ aesthetics and it’s no joke. This is nothing short of a masterpiece.3) The lid to the lipstick is magnetic. I think this is another clever and thoughtful design element. I don’t know if you have had a lipstick open in your purse and ruin EVERYTHING, but I have. It is a PAIN to clean out, I’m so sorry if you’ve experienced this too. What I like about this is, if you put it in your purse/pocket/stashie, you’ll never have to worry about it opening, breaking into bits, and ruining everything it comes in contact with. It’s also very satisfying to hold it and hear the metal click in place.4) It is actually moisturizing. It’s not a company that only does one thing well, design vs quality; it has both. The formula is moisturizing (at least for me) and I live in PA which means chapped lips. The color is pigmented you can build up as much color as you want though. The first time I only did one coat and it was a bit coral, then when I applied multiple coats it has a beautiful rouge color. I can’t really talk about longevity objectively because no matter what brand, lipstick usually lasts all day for me.I’ve talked a lot about it XD so if you’ve made it this far, I hope you can see why it’s worth buying~I enjoyed everything about this brand and when I save enough, that $108 kit of lipsticks will be mine (broke college student here).I would definitely recommend this to any makeup/ art lover~!
