Nice and thick
I only bought it because it was the perfect fit to hide a large cleaner stain on my great grandmotherâs buffet. It is so rustic looking and I love it. I donât really have the time to sand down the top so this is going to be a great cover. You wonât even know that there is a problem.

These placemats are exactly the cozy, neutral vibe I wanted for our round table. The natural jute and charcoal tones look beautiful in person, very boho meets farmhouse. I got a set of four, and they look perfect layered against our warm wood tabletop. They feel thick and well made, not flimsy like some woven mats Iâve bought in the past. I also love that each one is slightly unique due to the handwoven texture. ðThat said, when I first opened the package, there was quite a bit of shedding from the fibers, not a dealbreaker, but definitely noticeable. I gave them a good shake outside before setting them up. Theyâve held up fine so far, but I really wish they were machine washable. Care instructions say spot clean only, so Iâm crossing my fingers they can handle normal kitchen use without getting stained too fast. ð§¼If youâre going for that earthy, organic look, these are a great find. Just maybe skip them on spaghetti night. ðð

Beautiful and loaded with character!
These are beautifully handcrafted placemats that are very well made, full of character, and help provide texture to our decor. Iâve had a set we purchased at a small shop in the Smokey Mountains many years ago. So many years that they were in need of replacing but it had been so difficult to find handwoven textured placematsâ¦until now! I was so happy to have found these and Iâm even more happy that they look just like to description pictures show. I love that they have a woven band around the edges which not only will help to keep them from fraying but also have a âcleanerâ look vs the tasseled ends on others. And cleaning them will be so easy by simply shaking out to remove dust or by using a mildly damp cloth to wipe up spills.As many others have stated, they do have an odor when taken out of packaging so Iâm following suit of previous reviewers and hanging them for a few days to air out. Iâm not certain, however, that itâs a chemical smell; it almost could be described as a heavy jute twine/rope scent which makes more sense given that natural materials used. Iâm excited to get them on my tables (I use them around the house to protect my furniture, like one might use a doily) and replacing the worn out, old, beloved ones from an awesome trip nestled in the mountains of Tennessee.

Very unique
These are beautiful and very unique. I didnât buy them to use as placemats, though. I needed something like a doily for the 2 night stands in our guest bedroom, but I donât like the ordinary lace ones. These are absolutely perfect! The size is fantastic and the colors are beautiful. They match the decor in that room to a T. They are very good quality from what I can tell. I just received them yesterday. They are woven together with natural jute. The lamps on our nightstands also have natural jute wrapped around them and the lamp itself is blue-green. I am amazed because I donât think I could have found anything more perfect. I got the 13 x 19 size. It comes in a package of 4. Iâm also going to use a third one for the dresser in that room. They are definitely worth the price and I very highly recommend them. They are so different and Iâm always looking for unique products.

The smell goes away!
So cute! It did smell really bad at first but I draped it over a hanger and let it air out in the garage overnight and the smell went away!

I got these placemats for our 5th wheel camper and I couldn’t be happier! The color really looks nice with the interior of our camper. The quality of these placemats are top notch and well worth the wait for them to show up. The price is really good for what you get. Some reviews said that they smell, but I did not find that to be the case.If you are looking for some unique hand woven placemats, get these.
