strong and earth-friendlier
We’ve tried a lot of compostable bags and these are my favorite. They are strong and hold a lot. They are slightly too big for our kitchen trash bin, but that’s okay. I wish they were a little cheaper but I’ll pay this for the quality and to know they won’t be in the landfill forever.

perfect eco bags for kitchen waste
Been using these compostable bags for a few weeks and honestly they work great. They hold up well for daily kitchen scraps like veggie peels, coffee grounds and leftovers. No leaking or tearing so far.Love that theyâre made with corn starch and not full of plastic like most âecoâ bags that still end up in landfills. These ones actually break down in our home compost bin which is a huge plus for us.I use them in our little 2 gallon compost bin under the sink and they fit snug. Also nice that theyâre approved for BPI + OK Compost so you know theyâre the real deal and not just greenwashing.

Worth the money
After purchasing multiple compost bags from other brands because they were less expensive, I decided to get these because the other ones were too thin and flimsy. After a few very irritating leaks, I started double-bagging with those, which made them less of a bargain. I’m glad I invested in these; they are thicker than the others I’ve tried (but not too thick) and contain the odor well. The handles make them easy to tie, and I don’t have to worry about leaks as much as I do with thinner options. I’m happy with my investment.

Work too well
These bags started to biodegrade in my trash can before the bag was full. Had to clean the bottom of my trash can multiple times before I decided I was going to use 2 at a time from now on until they’re gone. They’re only good for dry, light weight stuff…but why use biodegradable trash bags when all the plastic inside the bags will still ruin our earth? There isn’t a lot of stretch to them, so you cant stuff it like a Glad bag. I wouldn’t buy them again.

Not so good Bag
Have had these now for a month and they are working great! No leaks and the handles to tie up …YEA! will buy them again in my effort to do my part in keeping Mother Earth happy!Update: They must have changed the thickness or are using a new material because I have to change the bag so it doesn’t start to get a hole every 3 days. Will not buy again.

They’re good, I wish they were a little more durable, but that’s normal for compostable plastic. I also wish they were a little bit wider so they can stretch over NYC compost bins.

Strong and better for the planet!
These trash bags are amazing! I was skeptical at first that trash bags could be biodegradable and strong, but these are the real deal. They perform like plastic bags, have drawstrings, no leaks, and fit my trash bin for the 13-17 gallon size. They’re certified sustainable and compostable which really makes you feel good about doing our part for the planet. Yes, they’re more expensive than plastic bags, but the more popular they become, the less they will be, and if everyone used biodegradable trash bags, it would make a difference!

Bag size at rim
Description says its perimeter fits a rectangular bin that is < 56". The standard NYC 13 gallon brown bin is 54" perimeter. Therefore the bag doesn't fit over the sides. Otherwise, quality is fine.
