As good or better
Iâve used these now for about a year. I really like them. They are sturdier than the usual plastic baggies. The seals are easier to useâthe tongue-groove catches easily and seals tightly. Both in the freezer and in the refrigerator, these bags work well. Itâs worth the added cost to me for a product that is both better quality than traditional plastic and is easier on the environment.

Great Compostable Bags!
Perfect bags for snacks. I can fit a couple of eggs or a couple of date balls in them easily. Live that they are composable and free of microplastics. Was pleasantly surprised how well the seal works!

I really like the idea of saving our planet in small ways. If more people did something, even in small ways, they add up.I know for a fact that they break down easily, I made the mistake of using a bag for saving food scraps awaiting composting. It took too long to fill, and the damp interior sped up the breakdown of materials. That’s the positive side of things. How quickly they breakdown.The Negative Side: The only thing that doesn’t breakdown is the zip closure. You are instructed to cut it off before disposing in the compost pile. It seals easily, but opening the bags is tricky. The bag material above the zipper will easily tear if you attempt to start to open it in the center. If you start to open the bag at the outer edge there isn’t a problem. You can seal & unseal multiple times with no problems.Otherwise, it beats Ziplocs hands down when it comes to being watertight. I gave this “4” stars because of the trick required in opening the bags. The ability to breakdown quickly is a plus as far as I’m concerned. Would I buy again? There’s no guarantee the other brands are not similar… so, I’ll have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

Seals well
I have tried a few brands. In terms of compostability, I havenât noticed much difference. Absent controlled conditions, they all seem to break down about the same. But some are odd shapes or donât seal very well.This brand comes closest to being what I associate with the brand name plastic baggies I used to get. The size and shape are useful, and they seal better than the other brands that I have tried. So far stuff has held up well in the freezer for several weeks at a time., the crisper drawer for at least as long as the food in it. In my composter, I cut up the used bags to help them break down faster. About two, two and a half weeks later the pieces were definitely fading and looking thin. At last check when I turned it, and this would be several weeks later, I saw no signs of the bag left.

Great alternative to plastic zip bags
Love these bags. I felt too guilty using plastic everyday for my kids lunches. These work amazingly well. I would recommend keeping items like sandwiches or cut fruit separate from dry items like chips as I feel like the bags donât hold in moisture and can cause the dry items to get soft. They do not leak, but because they are environmentally friendly they may breath more than plastic. This is my assumption. Overall great product
