Purchased this item to take care of a bunch of small Yaupons and low hanging pine limbs we have in our tree row and fence line. I already have several dewalt power tools so battery exchangeability is great. For the bad reviews saying it didnât come with a battery – come on! It was very clear that this was a tool only item. I was able to take care of clearing that brush much faster without getting my large gas chainsaw out. Cuts fast and didnât bog down at all. Time will tell how long it lasts, but for occasional use this is a great tool to have and a huge time saver.

Deception at work
So right out of the chutes I was misled by the product description. The marketers did everything in their power to depict this as a brand-name reputable tool. Dewalt. Same color and even subtly drops the name Dewalt in the description. Just enough manipulation and, I suppose, lack of focus by this customer that I didn’t realize until it arrived it wasn’t actually Dewalt. It was something manufactured in a land far away. And, tbh, I’m not sure there was a brand. Sure wasn’t anywhere on the tool itself. I would name the brand “GenIf” (short for generic and inferior) if it was up to me.I’ll start my actual usage experience by saying this The single positive thing about this purchase was i learned that a cordless pruning chainsaw was something I needed in my outdoor home maintenance arsenal. The rest of my experience was just ugly.From the very first use it leaked chain-saw oil. Just oozed out around the manual button you push to oil the blade. After the first 3-4 uses the chain would no longer stay on. I mean I couldn’t cut 3 branches w/o having to stop and tighten the chain. Just a mess.Because right out of the box and the first couple uses i realized this could all but replace my 16″ Dewalt gas chainsaw as far as application goes. If it held up. Most of my yard work consists of cutting up branches, small honeysuckle trees, and such. Which a 16″ Blade is overkill and overhead.Being able to just push a button and fire up a one-hand held battery chainsaw has many more applications for my personal use. That was the lesson learned from this product until it just became non-functional after about the 4th use.So, I did exactly what I should have done in the beginning. I went out and bought an ACTUAL Dewalt pruning chainsaw. It was about 3 times as much as this piece of rubbish. But, I’ve been using my Dewalt for the entire season and it’s never failed me once.

Great little saw
My expectations were low. This little saw is amazing. On the IL farm we used big gas Stihl chainsaws and I use a small gas Stihl chainsaw on my small neighborhood property. But I needed a small saw for trimming Crate Myrtle and Palm tree branches. All of my tools are DeWalt. The small DeWalt saw was just too expensive for such small jobs. This saw is what I needed and used my 20V DeWalt batteries. I was skeptical about knock off brand and that this saw did not have an oil reservoir. I put on my 30MAH battery and sprayed the chain with my WD-40 dry lune and went out to trim Palm branches. Wow!! My new favorite saw. Touch the bar and chain after cutting and it is not hot!!! No oil mess and fast as lightening. Glad it came with a second chain but will need to order more chains and donât see that on the website. I never write reviews unless the product is really bad. But I hadTo write this one.

Extremely lightweight and easy to use
Item greatly exceeded my expectations. Wouldnât use it to cut down medium to large trees but it is more than adequate for pruning and cutting down small trees. Can be operated with one hand which made it easy to access branches with limited accessibility. Chewed through 6 inch branches like butter. Battery lasted well over 50 cuts. So many uses for it besides pruning. Much easier to use than a circular saw because it can be operated with one hand. You just need to be careful.

No Bar and Chain Oiler!
There is no oiler for the bar and chain.Every chain saw I ever ran always need bar and chain oil.I am now down to needing to pour engine oil on the bar to oil the chain.Very cheaply constructed, but also easy on the dollar. Is it worth it?For me, yes. I will seldom be using it anyway. But, if you plan on using a mini a lot, I would pay higher dollars.
