Craftsman reel lawn mower is a healthy alternative to all other lawn mowers. This old-fashioned lawn mower only requires your energy to function. This is a 100% manual powered reel lawn mower that puts off zero fumes or emissions. This push mower is low maintenance since you only have to be mindful of the sharpness of the blades and nothing else. The manual push lawn mower has a cutting width of 18″. The 5-blade reel mower features durable heat-treated alloy steel blades and has adjustable cutting height of 1″-3″ The composite wheels help the push mower with transportation and maneuverability. A reel mower uses a cutting action that does not bruise or damage the blades of grass. For best results from Scotts push mower, mow no more than 1/3 of the grass blade, so that deeper roots are encouraged. Increase the amount of overlap while using your push mower if your lawn reaches a height of 4 inches or more. Try not reel mower when the grass is wet. It usually produces a very uneven cut. Before using your reel lawn mower, make sure to collect and remove any lawn debris before mowing. Reel mowers work best on maintained lawns. If your lawn is overgrown with divots and tall weeds it is recommended to have the lawn worked on before using a reel lawn mower or it will take multiple passes the first time using a reel mower
This Craftsman 5-blade manual push lawn mower has the cutting width of 18-inches with an adjustable cutting height of 1-3 inches. This reel mower features trailing wheels with easy cutting height adjustment lever.
Lightweight manual push mower with comfortable padded cushioned grip and rear wheels for greater comfort and maneuverability
Grass catcher included with the reel lawn mower. The lawn mower can operate with or without the grass catcher and is easy to install or remove. Since reel mowers cut blades of grass like scissors there is little force behind the cut grass so not all grass clippings will be captured in the bag
The Craftsman manual reel lawn mower blades are made of durable steel that stays sharp for years. Reel lawn mowers are planet-friendly, pollution-free, noise-free and a low maintenance alternative way to keep your lawn healthy and green.
Maintenance Push Mower: When using a reel mower, tall grass means more work. It’s better to mow smaller amounts more frequently than it is to let the grass get long. A push mower only cuts what gets between the reel and the cutter bar. Ensure a proper cut by not allowing your lawn to reach a height of much over 3-4 inches

Customers say

Customers find the lawn mower easy to assemble and perfect for small yards. However, the cutting performance and ease of use receive mixed feedback – while some say it does a great job, others report it fails to cut any grass and find it extremely hard to use. Moreover, the catcher and grass removal features also get mixed reviews, with one customer noting that grass gets over the wheels. Additionally, customers report issues with wheel damage, with one mentioning the back wheel becoming loose.

    Exceeds expectations
This mower is very quick to put together. I was curious about its limits, so I tried it out with many lengths of grass. I am not a physically fit person and I was able to push through 1-2′ of grass (not a recommended length) with multiple passes and a lot of effort. Grass shorter than the wheels was no problem. Sticks, mud, and holes can get in the way of the blades or wheels, which can cause the mower to suddenly stop; so now I check ahead to avoid those. Overall it cuts grass well when used as directed by the instructions. I would recommend this mower and I am happy with my purchase.

Easy, but needed muscle for placing handles
Once I watched some YouTube videos on loosening the blades away from the cutting bar, then it was GOOD TO GO because they were too tight against each other out of the box. I have used the Mower 3 times; The first 2 times for one yard (one half on one day and the other half on the second day) because the grass was a bit tall and the grass had things growing out of it that I had to bend over and pull out with my hands, plus it is a large back yard. The third time was the charm with the grass only centimeters grown up (I was getting ahead of things). That weird grass in that yard is still a problem, but I did what I could to manage getting it done. I’m proud of myself that I powered through those first 2 days; I survived to tell the story. I wore some cute yard work gloves that were totally protective of my dainty hands pulling up those naughty stalky weeds/plants. This lawn was not my doing, it is attached to the place I recently moved into. I might go out there with a blow torch the next time…just joking.

Too heavy and too much work
I was hoping to like this lawnmower, but it was too heavy for us. It was also not as easy to use as we thought. It’s necessary to pass over the same spot repeatedly for a good cut. The bagger didn’t work well either and, add that’s important to us, we opted to return it. It is a sturdy mower, but not for an older woman to use.

Will cut grass, but not if it’s gone to seed
It is well built and easy to assemble. I was really wanting to love it since I didn’t want an electric or gas mower. While mowing, I noticed it only cuts short grass. If the grass has gone to seed and has sent up shoots, they are too long to be cut. The way the reel is made; pushes the strands down before the blade cuts them. Good mower if you can stay on top of your grass before it gets too tall.

    Love it!
I really hate lawn mower noise and we were moving into a house with a small yard, so I figured why not?I love it! It’s the perfect size and I don’t feel like I need ear protection to use it, which was really important for me.Yes, it does leave a few things here and there, but I find that I can get most of them in multiple passes. I do need to find something to do the edges as well, but I’m so pleased with this little guy for the price!I’m super happy with it, but I knew what to expect from it. You are not getting the same thing as a powered mower, but it’s really awesome for small yards!

    Back wheel becomes lose.
3rd time cutting my lawn and the screw came off from the back left tire. I put the screw back on but it becomes lose and does not support weight Correctly anymore. So now it’s extremely hard to use.
