Great Screws for Outdoor Projects
I recently used the Fmjdnls Deck Screws for a backyard deck project, and I have to say, I’m quite impressed with their performance. These screws are solid, and the golden brown color blends nicely with the wood, which is a nice touch aesthetically. Good screws but unable to find ACQ rating for “exterior” screws
Good wood screws and yes, 2″ T25 bit was included. They drive well, no issues with camming or slipping. I do not care for the clear out threads on shorter screws like these. They are the fine threads between the large threads and the shank. Although they are intended to clear out the hole to provide better clamping pressure, I usually get several strip outs and I did with these. Shorter screws seem to work better with standard threads only. Regardless, as long as you’re not trying to countersink too deeply, they will be fine. Note, these are advertised as exterior screws. People commonly use treated lumber on exterior projects. I am unable to find any notation that these are ACQ rated (rated for use in treated lumber). “Anti rust”, “anti corrosion”, “epoxy coated”, or anything like those are referring to the product’s ability to survive weather, none of them mean to product is okay to use with treated lumber. If you can find the rating, use them. If not, do not use them in treated lumber.

Great Value Star Drive Screws
These deck screws are an excellent find. As someone who uses star drive screws almost exclusively for the superior head grip and stripping prevention, I was very happy to see that these not only have a T25 star drive head but also included an impact-compatible drill bit. The screws themselves are solid with a good coating, and while they feel similar in quality to other brands, the price point is what sets them apart. They are noticeably cheaper than what youâd find at most big hardware stores. While I haven’t had them in long enough to speak to their long-term longevity, they’ve been fantastic for my projects so far and will be for a wide range of projects to come. I agree with other reviewers that it’s about time Phillips-head screws became a thing of the past.

good quality screws with a nice coating on them
I use almost exclusively star drive screws these days for ease of driving into wood, and my local hardware store only carries 2 big name versions of them, but sometimes it’s nice to buy online and get a better value, these screws meet those needs. The head quality is good so it can take a fair amount of driving torque, and the coating on them protects the screws until you’re ready to drive them into the wood. The self tapping tips work well to get it started, and so far i’ve not had issues with splitting. You’ll want to make sure they’re the appropriate size for your project since they have the longer thread free neck below the head to pull the wood together, you just need to make sure your wood is thick enough to bite into the wood below without overdriving. I’m happy with these screws, and the addition of the bit is always nice since i’m losing them all too often.

A Solid Choice for Outdoor Projects
These appear to be quality deck screws with several design features. They use a Torx drive system, which is the superior drive system; phillip screws should die lol. Each screw has a self-tapping threaded tip that helps reduce wood splitting. While you could probably skip pilot holes in softwoods like pine, I still drill them out of principle, especially when working with hardwoods. It’s the only guaranteed way of preventing splits.The screws include ridges under the head that help create a clean, flush finish once driven in. They also have an anti-rust coating, supposedly rated to withstand up to 1500 hours of salt spray testing, which gives some confidence for outdoor use. The knurling on the shoulder is said to help prevent cracking, though I had thought that design feature was more about closing gaps between boards.The included T25 bit is about 2 inches long. The only real downside was the packaging, which barely survived shipping and is not suitable for long-term storage.At $8 for a pack of 106 screws, I think the pricing is very competitive. I have already used them to install a wooden railing, and so far they have performed well. I plan to update my opinion if they do not hold up to the elements as expected.
