Excellent build quality and easy setup, but what does EBT 2250 mean?
This is a nice replacement for our XPS 8930 pc. It is very similar to our XPS 8960 which I bought for myself earlier this year. Both are outstanding machines. I especially like that Dell now has automatic updates for its Dell assist software. Maybe it was there before, but not turned on on our older 8930 machines. Another plus is this, like our XPS machines has a wired speaker connection, which seems to be going the way of the dinosaur. Excellent value for the money. SSD should provide longer life.

Quality PC
Always had good results with Dell. Good value, nicely built, no problems with setup. Less bloatware compared with other brands.

Dell has good products but no service for their warranty unless you pay for it!!!!!!!!!!!
Today, I received my Dell XPS 8960 computer. This is my 5th Dell computer. Out of the box it appeared to be dead. What I found out later was my Dell monitor was set to the wrong channel. It works fine. However, when I called Dell service it was absolutely terrible. They took down all the information about the issue then the online conversation stopped, and a form came up on the scene forcing me to agree to their service plan. Now my computer is under warranty until next year. So, beware of this company’s business practices.

Nice computer for every day needs.
So far so good. Only downfall is it comes with Mcfee antivirus and its annoying ad keep popping up. Wish it had a better graphics card. Thats my fault for not checking specs close enough

This computer has been like a second lease on life!
I have had this PC for a few months now. My version is the Intel Core Ultra 7 265 with NVIDIA GPUs: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Series GPUs, 16GB Ram, and 1TB SSD HD.Overall I love this computer so much. I haven’t stretched it to the limits to test the graphics card with serious gaming yet, but my gamer friend who knows computers says it should work great since I don’t have a 4K monitor and I don’t do competitive gaming that demands an especially high frame rate. For all work-related and day-to-day use, this computer is so FAST and CLEAN compared to what I was using for years prior. I am still learning the nuances of Windows 11, but that is just the standard now so any new PC should be equipped with it. I have no real complaints with the OS.Overall, getting this computer has been like getting a second lease on life, and to me it seems like a really good price point at around $1400 before tax at the time I bought it.

Perfect purchase.
This computer was delivered right on time without any box damage whatsoever. The start up went perfect and it has been running doing its job now for 2 weeks. I would not hesitate to buy this computer again, it is a power house compared to the XP Unit it is replacing.

Up-to-date computer at a good price
14th gen for less than $1000. I love it >> very fast with alot of extras. I hooked it up to a 32″ monitor & speakers. I’m in “seventh Heaven” now.

Just Ok
To the point review.Windows : Windows 11 HomeStability: During updates , few strange noises , freezing. Not at all stable like Dell Precisions by far.Thermals : Really bad , pan cake cpu fan cooler for a Core I7 14700 is definitely a no no. Though TDP for 14700 is 65/219 watts , just doing few updates raised the temps to 100 Degree, absolutely not enough., fan sounded like airplane taking off. Liquid Performance cooler can be ordered through Dell Parts and can be upgraded. Vrm has heatsinks on them. which is good.Cpu : Good powerful performing CPU ( 20 core , 8 Performance Cores, 12 Efficient Cores, 28 thread. UHD 770 graphics . Though upcoming Intel Ultra core processors have better efficiency, lower temperatures, support for CUDIMM Ram, built in NPU Engine for AI, Intel Arc graphics.Chasis/ Case: Good sized case ( at least bigger/better than Dell Precision 3630 compact sized case and Dell XPS 8940 ) , with solid side panel, not flimsy . Better for air circulation/ heat retention.Storage : Micron 2550 Nvme Gen 4 X 4( first 232 layered Nand) is responsive. Its definitely Dell class 35 as opposed to class 40 dell full sized 2280 Nvmes. Class 50 Nvme were only available with Workstations. Another upto 4TB Nvme /ssd can be added in spare slot.Graphics : UHD 770 , good for browsing / watching videos etc. Unfortunately, no HDMI , only 1 DP 1.4.Ram: Only 2 Ram slots .Single 32 GB DDR5 Hynix 5600 Udimm with 46 CAS latency. Can be easily upgraded to 64Gb by adding another 32GB DDR 5 stick. Also accepts DDR5 6000 speeds . However , a step down from Dell 8950 that had 4 ram slots available, capable of 128gb total of ram. Not impressed.DVD Rom : Another step down from Dell 8950, no slot available to fit internal DVD / BD rom. Unfortunately external drives are the only options.Audio Controller: Realtek ALC1220 with 7.1 channel audio.Wifi : Killer E3100G Wifi with external antenna, good connection/ speed.Power Supply : 460 watt standard 80 Plus Bronze Psu unfortunately. I expected at least gold standard. However, 1000 watt and 750 watt Platinum Power supplies can be bought from Dell. Plz note, the PSU is Proprietary sized with Proprietary connections and can’t be upgraded using after market PSUs. Unfortunately, if you plan to add higher end /better GPUs, need to update PSU first .Epeat Certified : Silver Epeat certified as opposed to Dell Precisions which are Gold Epeat certified.Upgradability: Ram can be upgraded to 64GB of better Dual ranking 5600/6000 rams. Nvmes can be upgraded to better /Faster Nvmes/ add another one in spare slot ( only at spare slot upto 4tb nvme supported). Cpu fan can be upgraded to either Performance Liquid Cooler or Older Dells 8950 Performance Air cooler ( at least better than pan cake cooler). Psu can be upgraded to 750 / 100 watts Platinum certfied PSUs from Dell. Gpu can be upgraded .Conclusion: An ok system, with the current configuration , good for home/ office use. Coming from Dell precision , its definitely big step down, even a step down from Dell 8950. No more 4 slots for ram , no internal DVD as were included in 8950. For gaming need to upgrade PSU first, then add GPU. For thermals add a better CPU fan for sure. For dvd /cd use, add external DVD/BD/CD rom. For better build, better components, critical work and stability steer clear of it and go for Dell precisions ( very stable and quiet machines but expensive).Software: Support Assist is very useful, you can easily find drivers/Bios updates. Plz note, when you first boot it up , the pc will update Windows and other updates, will be sluggish . Once its done , it will be more responsive and temperature will go down. Ready to use.
