Good value for the price.
Works good in a pipe if you tape the camera head to a spear head snake. The spear keeps it elevated enough to get a picture and the side cameras help you spot cracks/defects. Cheap way to get a look in the sewer but you have to go easy and take your time. Has time/date stamp photo and video capability. A little awkward but serviceable when you have a tight budget. Good picture.

This tools saved me money and further damage to my house. All I knew wa the drain pipes were backing up or I had a leak under my washer. When I found the liquid was backing through the drain pipe behind the washer I bought this camera and a fishline to feed it down my drain.Twenty feet out I found a collapsed 50 year old iron pipe.that had to be replaced.Knowing where the collapse was located helped me to plan a repair/replacement rerouting the pipes around and outside my house saving over $10,000.Yes, I had expert advice and paid for additional teston other pipes to check condition of the rest of the system. It takes time to learn to manuever the line and the camera cannot penetrate everything…For me, it was worth the price just to learn where my problem was located. The lighted pictures were amazing and good detail was visible. Good price, quality camera.

Hard to beat at this price point
A very good value. I die this to inspect basement floor drains. Stifd cable can be pushed down drains without difficulty. Images are clear. Camera controls are easy to use. Comes with storage media and a nice carrying case. I wrap my camera cable into an extension cord holder vs trying to put it back into the case, but thatâs a matter of preference. Camera lens can get blocked with debris rather quickly, so be ready to pull it out and wipe it off if youâre attempting to inspect a floor drain that may be really plugged with debris. Narrow and strong enough to âjumpâ traps if necessary.

Useful for certain situations, but be aware of limitations
I was very impressed when I first received my Depstech sewer camera. Appeared to be very well made, nice case for the unit, and very clear, simple operation instructions. My problem at this point (only had it for a couple days) is that the 50 ft. of cable is not stiff enough to traverse through a 4 inch horizontal sewer pipe without flexing too much. Would be fine in a smaller 1 1/2″ kitchen drain, or in a straight 4″ vertical sewer drain, but if used in a 4″ horizontal sewer line, such as mine, that has several turns, it experiences problems. I think this is a very fine unit for the money and wish I had more success. I will continue to search for a solution with the Depstech system and provide an update if successful.Update: Success! I didn’t have a 50 ft. fishtape to attach my endoscope to when using in a 4″ drain, so took an old garden hose, cut it to the length that I thought I would need, and inserted the endoscope inside the hose so that the camera protruded about an inch at one end. I also inserted three nails (each about 1 1/2 inches long) through the end of the hose where the camera protruded, so that they were forming a type of “collar” around the camera, with the pointed ends of the nails protruding outward and equally spaced around the camera. I did this to prevent the hose/camera from collecting sludge/etc. as it was pushed through the pipe. Worked very well for me and I’m sure other purchasers have even better ideas. Overall excellent purchase and already paid for itself.

This Depstech 50 ft 1080p sewer camera is of good quality. It has plenty of cable length, the picture quality is good and it’s easy to use. For longer runs, it does work better when the cable is taped to a steel fish tape. Overall, I think the product is worth the price. The camera part works good but the hose is not rigid enough to shove into the drains. They give you 50 feet of drain line and you can only push it in like three or 4 feet because the hose is too flimsy.

Le câble est plutôt souple, et la marque propose d’ajouter un tire-câble scotché pour augmenter la rigidité.La longueur importante du câble est à prendre en compte. Cela rend la caméra un peu moins polyvalente dans le sens où, dans un usage sans besoin de longueur, il va avoir tendance à encombrer. Par exemple pour un usage de mécanique, il vaudra mieux privilégier une autre gamme de Depstech avec câble plus rigide et embout orientable à distance.L’extrémité possède 3 caméras, une en pointe et 2 perpendiculaires, ce qui augmente largement la chance d’avoir en image l’anomalie recherchée. Cela compense le fait qu’il est très difficile de faire tourner un câble aussi long.On peut prendre des photos et videos qui s’enregistreront sur la carte microSD. Pratique pour analyser ensuite les images au calme.Les images sont plutôt claires, et en tout cas suffisamment à mes yeux pour le travail prévu.L’écran est grand, lumineux et très lisible.La coque de rangement semi rigide permet de ranger l’endoscope de façon sécurisée entre 2 utilisations.A noter que cela va sans dire que le câble est étanche, mais pas le boitier.
