I selected the DESLOC B200L smartlock primarily because it looks nice, is well-reviewed, and provides a wide variety of options for unlocking. I am quite tech-savvy, but despise using technology that is heavily app-dependent, and the DESLOC is an OK fit for me in that respect. You do need to download and install the TTLock app in order to become an administrator and set up the device via bluetooth connection, and I found that part of the process buggy and complicated and difficult, almost to the point where I deducted a star from the rating, but if/when you ever get it working to your satisfaction, you won’t need to rely on the app very often, because after setup you can use a permanent pin passcode, scan your stored fingerprint, swipe a fob, or even insert one of the 5 included keys to manually unlock the door. One notable feature I wanted to mention in favor of this product, since no other reviewers have commented about it, which is that in addition to being able to extend the amount of time before the door auto re-locks, you have the option to stop it from auto locking entirely. Not everyone wants the door locked behind them the whole time they’re occupying a space, and it’s nice to be able to disable this default feature, which is forced on you by many other smart lock brands and models. I’m still learning how to take full advantage of the B200L’s many different features, and I remain stubbornly biased against app-reliant tech in general, as well as this app in particular, but notwithstanding that one quibble, I did ultimately rate this 5-stars, taking into consideration build-quality, ease of installation (template and hardware provided), well-written instructions, multitude of smart options and capabilities, potential for customization, battery life, and backup security in case of battery failure (via a hidden USB-C power port). After completing setup, overall convenience of use is very high, and I think most buyers will be pleased with this product at the modest price for which it’s being offered.

Great Protection/Controlled by your smart phone
What a great addition to home security. I found the instructions to be complete. Follow them step by step and they will guide you through the installation process. Although steps 3.1 and 3.2 I had to stop and think about for a second. It’s not often I complement instructions, but whoever wrote these must have actually installed this lock-set and written the instructions while doing so. When you put the batteries into the holder this lock will start talking to you asking you to name an administrator. You will need to go on line asap and set up your account. It does comes with keys. It says 2 in the ad, but there were a half dozen with mine and the fobs are a real nice added touch. This is a good looking lock-set, that is really well made and will give you the protection you are seeking when installing a set like this. We have another older combination set (not this brand) and it is no where near the quality of the Desloc product. This looks and feels as if it will be here for decades to come. This is a no brainer if you’re looking for a smart lock-set.

Nice Lock, Easy to use App
This is working really well for us. Our front door does not have a deadbolt, just a single doorknob with a hefty security latch on the inside. I really like that this e-doorknob/lock keeps the knob locked when the door is closed. We live in a very nice and safe neighborhood, but we do have a lot of kids that are friends with my children. Sometimes, they open the door up and walk right in. This e-doorknob has completely stopped this from happening. I also don’t have to leave the front door unlocked around the time the school bus comes around and my kids come home. The app is really really easy to use. Download the app, and connect it to your bluetooth phone/table. Setup up your email to get a confirmation pin and you can easily connect to the lock and setup fingerprints, pins, temporary pins and the key cards. I setup the two key cards and my wife and I have those on our key chains. I then setup easy to remember 6 pin codes for my three kids.Installation was fairly straight forward. I did have a little issue figuring out the setscrew for left/right operation at first, but I figured it out. Be sure to install the setscrew on the outside handle, because if you don’t, the lock can be easily defeated by simply pulling up on the handle. The touch pad is very responsive and my kids have no issue with it. They are 4, 6 and 7 years old. It is powered by 4xAA batteries which are included. In the future we will likely install some long lasting lithium batteries so we won’t have to change them yearly. We decided against using the fingerprint entry at this time. The key cards and pins work very well for us at this time. This lock also includes 5 physical keys, and those keys can be inserted on the top of the lock by removing the small dust cover.This seems to be a really nice e-lock and I am quite please with it. It is a great addition to our home.
